Best Italian in the area

This family owned restaurant is casual (sometimes loud), busy and delicious. The food is fresh and well prepared. Be prepared to wait for a table as it is very popular, but the bar is friendly.

I had to see what all the fuss was about.... there's always a crowded parking lot. Well, the food was decent. The restaurant is decorated very tastefully. The wait staff was very friendly. The ceilings are fairly low and thus, it's very loud. It was very difficult to hold a conversation. Tables are a little crowded. I just wasn't really... More

Casual atmosphere. Excellent food. Both times food was consistent. Maybe soup could be a bit hotter.

i know, I sound like a paid hack for Frankie's, but not so! This place is that good. Tonight, our 47th wedding anniversary, was the seafood linguine and chicken piccata. Both were exceptional and the check was under $60. Meal for 2; 2 glasses of wine, great entrees and excellent service. What could be better. Thank you again, Perrone family.... More

We had supper at Frankie's this past Saturday and found the food to be average at best. Pasta was cold and the main dish lacked any real special flavor. Last year the meal was great. Just don't know what happen this time.

Authentic Italian meals are hard to find in the US. But Frankie's truly had the best of Italian food offerings. The pizza tasted just like what you'd find in Rome. Thin crust, fresh, fresh basil and mozzeralla. They even had 'Pizza Napoli,' which I've only ever seen in Italy and Europe. I definitely recommend Frankie's if you're in the Maggie... More

We were visiting our friends who just moved to Maggie Valley and they said we "had" to eat here! I now know why! What a lovely find! It was all delicious and they eat there almost weekly! When we are back in that area, I'm sure we will stop in again!

We went for lunch and it was very good food. Service was awesome. Just be aware that prices are a little high for the area.

I had the Chicken Parm. The sauce was unlike any I have ever had and I don't say that with affection. I would not order again, nor shall I return again. The restaurant parking lot is always full, so there must be a following, or just a lot of first time visitors. To each his own, but this one is... More
