Taste of country-style southern cooking

This is an inexpensive way to get a good flavor of Southern cooking. The buffet serves BBQ of various types, as well as a wide variety of fried foods. It is easily accessible from Interstate 95, so this makes a good stop if you are passing through.

Fullers is a scant 1/2 mile off the interstate in Lumberton NC. They have a great atmosphere, plenty of parking and a South Carolina style BBQ to die for. Pulled pork, BBQ chicken, fried chicken, sausage, mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, greens, okra and some beautiful sweet tea. This is our second visit on the way back from Florida and... More

Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we were looking forward to eating at Fullers in Lumberton during an over night stop on our way to Florida from Long Island. But our enthusiasm was tempered very quickly. First the good news. Everyone loved the biscuits, greens, fried chicken and okra. The fried chicken livers were also very good. Now for the bad... More

We have eaten at Fullers BBQ in the past while traveling up I-95, but this time found it to be expensive and a poorer food selection than before. The wait staff was so so as we had to keep asking for refills on our drinks that ran a cool $2.00 each. One would think with the cost of the meal,... More

Pulled off the long and winding traffic-filled road (I 95) home to try this delightful lunch respite. We were greeted by a group of happy, friendly locals who were on the way out, "We saved some for ya'll!" Every yummy southern veggie/bread/ cornbread/salad ... & really good BBQ/fried chicken/meat you can imagine.... don't forget the soft-serve ice cream! Great option... More

I told the lady at the check out counter on 3-25-15 that I was going to write a review on tripadvisor and here it is. My boss told me that he has ate at this restaurant before and raved about how good it was and the huge selection. so while traveling thru we stopped in Wednesday evening , AND HE... More

Best southern food in town! Attentive staff. Buffet for dinner is about $11 to dine in. Even 30 mins before closing, there was tons of food left and no rush. They weigh the food if you get take out. Just grab a seat and enjoy yourself. The upstairs eating area looks nicer and fit for groups. The main level could... More

My wife said this is her favorite restaurant! You just can't beat the value. For less than $10 you get a sampling of real Southern cooking, the selection and quality are excellent. There are three food bars; salad, entree and dessert. The meat and vegetable selections are varied and tasty if you are anywhere near exit 20 on I-95, you... More

Last year we stopped at Fuller's and were impressed by the Southern-style buffet spread. Today on the way to S.C. we stopped in again for lunch, and what a disappointment! The so-called barbecue pork was filled with fat and gristle, luke-warm, and was basically shredded pork with a bunch of vinegar mixed in (I guess that's supposed to be North... More
