Good Food at a Good Price

Driving home from our recent vacation in South Carolina, after 3 hours of driving needed lunch and a place to get off the road and out of the rain. We had pulled off to go to the CookOut, but the one in Lumberton is a drive thru only. Next door was the Village Station so we thought we would... read more

Stopped here while traveling. My sister said it looked like a good place because the parking lot was full. We had the buffet, which consisted of a lot of carbs--fried chicken, fried fish, potatoes, mac and cheese, etc. There was some nice ribs and pulled pork barbque and a salad bar for healthier eating, but mostly just down home southern... We visited on a Sunday. Place was busy but it didn't take long to get to a table. Service was prompt and she did a nice job. The food didn't take too long and was served hot. I was disappointed in my French fries. There were not many of them and didn't like the taste of the oil for cooking.... More

We love to go to local restaurants when we travel, so when we needed a lunch stop while heading home on a car trip, this looked to be a likely place. It was Sunday at lunchtime, and the parking lot was full, another good sign. At the entryway, we were asked if we preferred a buffet or menu service. We... More

We stopped on May 30th about 4:00 p.m. Our server was Latisha. I was travelling with my four year old grandson. They had no crayons or anything for him to do while we waited. We couldn't even order milk for him. She suggested soda, which he has never had, so we opted for water. Extremely limited beer selection. We wanted... More

I ate here for a work event and the service was slow and disorganized, the food was awful, the interior is old/unkept. We had appetizers of mozzarella sticks (microwaved) and stuffed mushrooms (just inedible, disgusting). For the entre I had bbq chicken I didn't eat it was so turned off by this time. Very disappointed and never to return. Wish... More

This restaurant was recommended to me by the hotel front desk clerk where I was staying, one block away. She said that it was decent food, a variety of choices at a moderate price, and she was right. The restaurant is located right off exit 20 north on I-95 in Lumberton, NC. I arrived on Saturday afternoon for lunch and... More

We ate there a few days ago while traveling through on I-95. It was late afternoon and I thought that may account for the lack of customers. The locals must know, this place is terrible. I and my girlfriend both had burgers. We were traveling to Florida and this was the first meal we had all day. We made it... More

If I was in the area again, I would try and find another restaurant - I did not get a good feeling from the whole area. Sorry!
