Kidds is a Liberty institution, a diner unchanged in menu and appearance for 50 years or more. Inexpensive, reasonably tasty plate lunches and breakfast plates are served for less than $6. The place is worn but clean and full of local rural color. Real grits made with fatback…homemade biscuits… good barbecue ( pulled pork) on a Wonderbread bun…

I admit I have not eaten much there except the Tenderlion sandwiches but they are very tasty with two pieces on a large sandwich bun...and very reasonable price. It is a tiny hole in the wall place that the locals know but anytime I come to Liberty, I like to stop by..The parking can be a bear when it is... More

This is a small inconspicuous building that all the locals know. They serve plate lunches Monday- Friday with a recurring menu. The entire town knows that Thursday is "Fried Chicken". They make a great salad, soups, and chili beans. And a full menu of sandwiches and fries. You will remember the Combo Dogs for a lifetime. Stop by on your... More

We went here with family for a quick lunch. We went on a Saturday at 1pm and the place was packed! Small dining area and limited menu. I got a hamburger and fries and it was ok. The fries were a bit undercooked for my taste. Several in our party got barbecue and also said it was just ok. The... More

They have good hot dogs, but I must say though order a soda because there sweet tea taste like funky coffee. Prices are great, always crowded. So go early lunch!

This place has been around forever...very inexpensive! Try the combo dog...a hot dog coupled with a block of cheddar cheese in the bun...fantastic!

I love kidds, and always have!!! Jerry kidd was actually my P.E. Teacher in middle school! His father and him are both extremely down-to-earth people. They own a wonderful, down-to-earth, hole-in-the-wall restaurant! To this day one of my favorite places on earth to eat! Just the other day I paid $37.50 for a filet mignon, and three sprigs of asparagus!... More

My family and I drive about 15 miles every Fri to go up to Kidds. I agree with the other poster, you don't go to Kidds for the atmosphere. Although everyone I have ever met up there has been polite. The waitresses are great and always see that you have drink. Have never had a problem with our food missing... More

They do serve country food at this restaurant and it stays crowded but the food is really not good. They serve instant potatoes and canned vegetables. There meats seem to be the best food they have especially the fried chicken. Also, their parking is horrible. I've also heard the rumor that the family influences the local politicians to keep out...
