Good food and good people

I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here, the food is great and the service is usually outstanding. For a town known for BBQ its nice to have a place you can go and eat something that isn't BBQ related. I love the lasagna and the Brisket pizza.

As a Lexington native, I prefer to patronize local businesses, but I will NOT go back to Sweet Pea's again. I've heard others comment how great the food is, I'm shocked anyone has actually received food to taste. On my first visit, it took 15 minutes for a staff member to even greet us, another 10 min to have our... More

I have been to Sweet Peas a few times but this by far was the best it's ever been. The food has definitely improved and the service was great. John was our waiter and he was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the upgraded decor and will definitely be back!!

Have been going to Sweet Peas since it opened and have had mostly good food and service. Now that the restaurant has been under new ownership since Dec. 2014, some very nice updates have been done and more are in process. I believe the atmosphere is actually a bit better than previously. Sweet peas has an excellent burger on the... More

Well we have been several times. Every time the 'lead waitress' is barking out at staff - extremely unprofessional. We only will eat there if Emily is our waitress. Food is inconsistent in flavor. Overall, there is great potential. Staff is very disorganized though and kitchen is slow to get out food unfortunately. Owners need to get it together- it... More

I loved the former Sweet Pea Owners. They were passionate about the business and it was obvious. I am not sure what happened to have them disappear. The new owners have done some nice updates to the restaurant. I have been there twice since the new owners. Most things are the same but there is a learning curve. it doesn't... More

We recently returned to Sweet Pea's and were quite underwhelmed. We originally ate here after the Lexington BBQ festival and it was pretty good. My wife and I went to dinner and it was quite different. My wife ordered the smoked prime rib, it arrived cold and rather tough with no Au Jus, or Horseradish. I ordered the "world famous"... More

Very expensive for the poor quality food they serve. DO NOT ORDER their Shrimp and Grits (if they still have it on the menu). Shrimp was chewy at best, grits were clearly instant grits heated from the hot tap on their coffee machine.

New restaurant in Lexington, it has only been around a short time. The owners, Richard and Jennifer, are warm and inviting. It is a great place for large groups and the menu has something for everyone. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Go and check out the newly decorated dinning room!

Was in town visiting a friend and was having lunch before heading back home. I decided to try the Luke burger. It was absolutely delicious. I am usually a pretty adventurous person when it comes to food and have no problem trying something new. This particular burger comes with a fried egg. If you like/love eggs and you've never tried...
