Very nice restaurant, great food

I ate here as part of a large catered party in early Feb. 2015. They were easily able to handle the large crowd. I tried the chopped BBQ with vegetables; it was a bit different from the 'eastern' vinegar-style and not like Lexington-style, but it was very good, and it was a very satisfying... read more

I had higher hopes for a place whose name invoked a fair amount of character and charm. Atmosphere was hard to discern. Part piano bar, part down home restaurant, part bar, part I'm-not-so-sure. Food was mediocre. I had the shrimp and grits and sad to say this dish did not impress. The grits were actually tastier than the shrimp and... More

Located in an older building in historic downtown Lenoir. We were greeted and seated promptly by a very friendly staff. Drinks followed shortly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the available wines and menu items. The Moscato was delicious. Menu is American, salads, burgers, fish. I had a large salad that had Apple slices, feta cheese, cranberries and pecans with... More

Tried this restaurant for the first time today for lunch after reading favorable reviews. It lived up to and surpassed all the great reviews. I had a wonderful chicken salad sandwich on a fresh-baked croissant! The rest of my party had a steak sandwich and a reuben. The reuben was wonderful--juicy, lean corned beef on great grilled rye bread. I... More

I was in luck today. It finally thawed a bit, so the hubz and I decided to do some antiquing and try a new restaurant we had heard about. Upon walking in we were greeted warmly by Rebecca whom sat us, and was also our server. She was very friendly and gracious about guiding us not only through the menu,... More

We went with family to enjoy some live music and food. PortaBella mushroom fingers were delicious and when I asked about the sauce made with horseradish, our server offered to have it especially for me I knew this was a great place. One member of our group had the yummy rueben, another had shrimp and grits while I had the... More

The food was ok, the build your own burger had some neat options but got really expensive really fast if you wanted more than a basic burger! The kids menu was lackluster, I expected smaller portions of their main dishes, but it was corn dogs and mac'n'cheese.

When we got there, the speakers were blaring a college basketball game. Very annoying and hard to talk. I asked them to turn it down, but the volume was still too loud. My Club sandwich was pretty lame, not very tasty and not too much in the way of cheeses or meat. Another in our party got a paddy melt,... More

Good meal at a good price and good atmosphere. Restaurant appears to be well managed and I will go back.

I have eaten here twice, both times when my Nephew and his family come to town. I consider this to be the very best restaurant in Lenoir. Every dish served is a surprise in taste. We always look forward to trying something different on the menu and there is a lot to choose from. The busy servers are a delight... More
