A very good restaurant in the mountains of North Carolina. Everything was by the book but it lack that little extra to make great. Now don't get me wrong, the food and service where first rate. You won't get a bad meal here, the chef is good. The servers are good. Just needs a little spark to get the great... More

very nice white tablecloth dining overlooking the lake. Perfect spot, Staff is great. the only place for 30 miles that is gourmet food so it's worth the price. Check the menu and wine list before you go to make sure they have what you want in the price range - some of the wines are limited and overpriced.

We had a spectacular dinner and breakfast at the Greystone Inn. The only thing better than the meal is the atmosphere... you can eat outside on the patio (weather permitting) or inside with a full wall of windows to see the lake and mountains. (The big stone fireplace in the main dining room adds to the ambiance.)

Breakfast here is great but the all inclusive dinner is a bit too rich and unoriginal for my taste buds. Need to offer more variety of menu and healthier choices.

Caesar salad wilted and filet had very little flavor. At $60 a person expected a much better quality.

dinner was just average ... service was good but at $70. per person not worth the money. Breakfasy was as good as before.

I always love a restaurant that provides each table with more than one server and I never have to ask for anything because the server already knows what I need. So, besides great service the lamb and filet were amazing. Tender, fresh, cooked perfectly, beautiful presentation and exquisite sides also prepared perfectly. Deserts were key lime pie and buttermilk pie.... More

Food used to be at least average, but since national retreats took over, big management structures have done it no favors. Food more like assembly line, boxed or frozen poured into buffet line bins under hot lamps. Custom order service gone south, food quality and taste just blah

Highly recommended whether you're staying at the Inn or not. The food is delicious, the staff are attentive, the ambiance is wonderful and the nightly guitar music makes it all perfecto.
