Having eaten in most of the restaurants in the area I can say without hesitation that this one is at the top of the list. The appetizers are amazing, although a bit pricey for the area , about $10 . The entree's range from excellent to just OK. I would avoid the fried food which does not seem to meet... More

My family and I had a late lunch here in November and enjoyed it very much. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere and I love the fact that just about everything, even the butter, is home-made. It is now one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Laura B.

We're visiting the area for the weekend and were looking for a good place to grab a bite to eat. Point of View was very accommodating to our group and went above and beyond. We all loved our food and had a great time. Definitely recommend to anyone!

On our way back to our timeshare from a long day out on the road, we noticed a Prime Rib special going on at the Point of View. We called ahead for reservations, and enjoyed a great Prime Rib meal. The side dishes were very tasty, and the wine list was very good as well. Although we were pre-disposed to... More

We went Monday evening with our friends for dinner while vacationing in Lake Lure. Our server was very good. But the food was below average. The salad portion was small enough for a child. I had the chicken parm which was tasteless and came with a spoonful of pasta. The rest of the table had the prime rib which was... More

New owners have increased the choices on the menu. A nice selection. Escargots in mushrooms caps are back and were great. Three of us had the veal dishes and all were tasty, servings rather small, but ok for the reasonable prices. The linguini served on all plates was overcooked. This restaurant has never served pasta "al dente" as it should... More

We unknowingly came early on a Sunday heading home from a stay on Lake Lure. The owners came outside and invited us to come in early. They were so nice! There was a Sunday brunch menu and I had the best eggs Benedict I have ever eaten. Everyone was friendly and spoke to us and the view from the dining... More
