My wife and I just had dinner at this establishment. There were two very good things: the bread and the vinegarette dressing for the salad. However, that's where the praises stop. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and I had the chicken parmesean. While we both ate our food, we certainly didn't enjoy it. The shrimp scampi seemed to be... More

We were cautiously optimistic about the empty parking lot throughout the week but decided to give it a try. We walked in and the atmosphere was old and outdated. The food was mediocre at best with no seasoning or flavor and overlooked and low grade beef. They had limited available items from the menu. The staff was friendly and seemed... More

While we were there, we were not able to sit outside due to some permit issue. We sat inside and had a very nice waitress. But...the interior is old and outdated, they have old carpet that should be pulled out. The food was okay, but they only let you order certain items from the overloaded menu.

We ate here while visiting in Lake Lure. We had eaten here many times in the past and always enjoyed it. WE were there with relatives who have a place locally and have visited here even more then we have. We all agreed that it is not up to par with the previous experience. The food was mediocre and we... More

The new owners have really stepped things up. The Sunday brunch is great. I have a hard time deciding between the shrimp and grits or the eggs benedict. My husband loves the chicken and waffles and the French toast. We eat there almost every Sunday.

Good food but a bit on the rough side. Several people had the prime rib and said it was good. Great desserts to share.

On the last day of our Honeymoon in Lake Lure we were looking for a good lunch spot and are SO happy we stopped here. We compared a few menus of surrounding restaurants and within no time at all knew we had to try Point of View. The view is certainly reason enough to stop in but with appetizers like... More

Lovely spot overlooking the lake. Food was quite good and service as well. It's a little lacking in atmosphere but the view is fabulous. We didn't go back because we wanted to try other options but liked it well enough to try it again.

I can't say anything about the food in this restaurant, for the reason that we arrived 45 minutes prior to closing and they told us the kitchen was already closed. We just looked at each other for a few moments, turned our attention to the clock then asked...what time do you close? The girl answered 9pm...I suppose the kitchen closes... More
