Where locals go for great seafood year round. Great tiki atmosphere, friendly service, generous portions. Never miss a chance to go to Jack Mack's.

My favorite has always been the salmon club sandwich. It is on special bread, lots of taste and very filling. The cob salad is also good. We would go more often if they had not raised their prices some 30-40% in the last 2 years or so. Sit in the top area if the weather is nice and you can... More

Service was great really sweet personality. Food was ok everything was fried which isn't what we enjoy. 120.00 for 2 adults and a 4 year old is a bit much for something we could I had at long John silvers. Not worth a return trip.

We come to Kure Beach in the off season, generally October and March and Jack MacKerel's is the place to be on Wednesday's. During the off season entree's are 40% on Wednesday's. The food is excellent, during our last visit our group had the crab legs, shrimp and steak. The food was prepared just right, the portions were generous and... More

Visited from NY in april 2013. The restaurant's decor is cute & island-ish, but not upscale by any means. A little tacky but not off-putting. Service was mediocre. Food was good but could be GREAT with some attention to detail & bolder, more creative island dishes. Hope it improves because it's a great location with limitless potential.

Hubby & I shared the penne pasta with shrimp & bay scallops. It wasn't overcooked & was very tasty. I had the spinich salad as a starter, and it was good, but I think would have ben better w/o the mushy canned mandarins on top. His mom had the seafood chowder. it was good, but not as good as the... You will love the portions and the food is always fresh. Great bar and Megan the bartender does a great job of making you feel welcome. The owners are on hand to make sure things operate smoothly.

The food is mostly good, however the entrees are pricey. The sandwiches are the best deal. They have a delicious hamburger and many of their other sandwiches are good too. The salads are big but expensive. The best part of the restaurant is its atmosphere. The beachy decorations and comfortable bar area make this a nice place to get a... More

I'm picky but I do enjoy this cute island restaurant. The staff is always eager to please. We usually sit in the bar area. The fried flounder is very generous and is good. I enjoy the chowder and the burgers are great. They do a barbecue chicken sandwich that my son enjoys, I've never had it. Several times I've had... More
