The restaurant was okay. Not a good waiting area. Had to go outside and wait. Very crowded. Rolls were disappointing . Grouper was undercooked. Mixed grill was just okay , and this was one of the nightly specials. The ambiance was nice though. Just wish the food matched the ambiance!

Fabulous lunch of their seafood chowder which is amazing and Caesar salad with skewered shrimp. Service was great!

There are not a lot of restaurants in Kure Beach so we thought our options were limited. We were nicely surprised by this restaurant. We went at 7:30 pm on a Wednesday evening and had a 40 minute wait - a good sign. There was a 20% discount that evening - do they do this every Wednesday? Our table by... More

During our week here we've eaten lunch and dinner. The lunch was enjoyable, but I had the fried shrimp from the lunch menu. There were small and not very tasty. The other 6 people at my table were well pleased with their orders. We had a good server who was attentive. We were early for dinner, about 5, and avoided... More

I go to Kure Beach four to five times a year for long weekends and always have to eat at Jack Mackerels! Sometimes more than once on a visit. If sitting at the bar alone enjoying a drink and great meal or with family and friends on the patio has always been great. Food and service are wonderful and love... More

Not a large selection if you aren't here for seafood. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive. A little overpriced.

The restaurant looks like a typical mediocre beach side place. But we were so surprised by the dinner we had! The kids all loved their meals and I had an amazing honey pecan crusted salmon salad. Seriously one of the most pleasing salmon preparations I have ever had and incredibly fresh. Lovely service as well. Definitely worth a stop in.

The choices were great and reasonable. Nice atmosphere and pleasant service. I wish all of the seafood restaurants included more local, fresh seafood.

Gave the place lots of chances over the last few years. Would have one good dining experience...then a bad one. Give it another try, and it would be good...then again, not so much. So consistency is not their thing, but we no longer take visiting family there for large gatherings--so I guess they lose. Last time in was prime rib... More

Given the limited dining options in Kure beach, this is a solid option. We had a great waiter who offer good suggestions on their menu as well as other things to do in the area. Food was good and solid. No complaints but nothing outstanding. We had a 15 month old with us and it was easy to walk him... More
