Great food!

4 adults and a 2 year old. All our portions were huge including the 2 year old's. She could have eaten off of the adult plates. The house salad is amazing one of the best salad dressings I've ever tasted! I had The Rum Runner Pork Chop it has a molasses glaze and grilled peaches, yum! I just got... read more

Extremely limited space, nearly always a wait, especially during peak Summer hours. Service is great, menu offers wide selection of seafood, pasta, and meat w/ lots of veal & pork chop dishes to choose from. But for the price...not so great. Have had much better, much cheaper. Ok but nothing to write home about.

A group of us came here after it was recommended by a friend. It was a rainy, chilly, miserable day, and it was a bit of a drive for us. Once we arrived, we knew almost instantly that it was worth the trip. We were greeted warmly, and the room has a cozy feel to it. There is an interesting... More

Our latest vist to Freddie's was 2weeks ago. As usual the food was wonderful the service was excellent. My wife had one of their famous pork chops and I had their eggplant parma with a side of their delicious meatballs.. Before the main meal we always enjoy their hot and fresh bread and their wonderful salad. We discovered this quaint... More

Freddie's is one of my favorite places to eat on pleasure island.Starting with the outstanding family style salad,or their great wine list.Any one of the pasta dishes are great.Their rack of lamb might be the best i have ever had. They are famous for their pork chops(numerous styles)and their service is impeccable. As a local we go here a lot in the... Well worth the short drive to Kure beach from Carolina beach. The atmosphere was awesome. Husband and I went on our last night in Carolina beach. Husband had the pork chops with peaches and pecans and loved it. Said he should have only ordered the one pork chop. The two were too much. That's unheard of with him. My favorite... More

We were staying on Kure Beach and walked down the boardwalk and discovered this absolutely darling Italian restaurant , the place is cozy and well decorated the food amazing! The servings were so large we split a meal and even took some home! The bartender was sweet as well as the wait staff who all spoke to us as we... More

This tiny restaurant is known for its Italian food & for its thick pork chops with several choices for sauces. If ordering Italian, there are usually choices for sauce. The bread tastes homemade & the salad is an interesting combination of flavors. Their house dressing is especially good & is available for purchase there or at other locations. Food is... More

I've eaten here twice and have heard from other beach visitors their reviews and they are all consistent. The food is excellent and service is good. The first time I had dinner there was with my nephew, who is a local who raved about the place. I was immediately surprised and impressed as the locale was obviously out of context... More
