Bang for your buck!

The pancakes here were great! We had ours with blue berries. Placing our order was interesting, it seemed efficient in getting people in and out conveniently since the line was out the door. The only negative was the bathrooms were a little gross.

You order "cafeteria" style. You get a tray, tell the girl at the counter your drink and make your way around to the cashier where you place your food order and pick up drinks. The cashier gives you a number, tells you where to sit and then a waitress brings your food in about 5-10 minutes. The pancakes are good,... More

This is semi-cafeteria style where you can pick up a fruit cup or beverage, put them on your tray and when you reach the cash register you order your breakfast. They bring it to your table when it's ready. I had a short stack that was more than generous. With the extra fruit, it was a generous meal. Husband had... More

This was a nice place to grab a bite for breakfast. Stack'em High is a longtime family owned restaurant, one of the places that are unfortunately becoming rare these days. The coffee was good and they kept filling our cups. I would give it a five if they had Maple Syrup, but my wife and I are a bit biased,... More

We were able to walk there form our vacation home. Food was great and we will be back on our next OBX vacation.

This is a breakfast place that you order at the counter like a cafeteria and then you are seated. I was not impressed with the cleanliness or vibe. The food was good but the atmosphere was just fair. I had pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and coffee. Eggs were under cooked, bacon greasier than usual. Pancakes and coffee good. Very large... More

When we walked in the door, I was a little surprised. I didn't know what to expect, but it was different than anticipated. It was a blend of cafeteria style and a local owned restaurant. Food was great, the pancakes with the strawberry topping was amazing. Service was phenomenal. Recommend for a great breakfast!

My wife and I went here for breakfast while staying in the area. The decor is a bit dated and the place could do with a face lift and the cafeteria style ordering system is not my preferred style of ordering food (too many bad memories of foul school lunches I suppose). I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and a... More

If you can get past the decor & lack of "ambiance," you'll discover some great food! I had the breakfast quesadilla & husband has southwestern omelet. Hash browns (REAL chopped potatoes) accompanied both dishes. The ordering process was a bit strange and while waiting for food we noticed such things like painter's tape still on the wall/trim, portions of walls... More

The food was very good and the service great. An interesting mix of cafeteria style (for drinks and cold sides) and made-to-order. The menu board is on the wall overhead and there are multiple "specials" boards behind the serving line. The "cafeteria style" can make you feel rushed to order as there are people waiting behind you to place their... More
