This is our go to restaurant. Never miss it on our yearly OBX vacation. I love the wood fired pizza. Tuna bites are very tasty. I had Oysters Orville for an appetizer. I was a bit disappointed in the flavor and size of the oysters. We love this place and will be back.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Kitty Hawk National Memorial. The service was friendly and we ordered a variety of entrees, both for adults and kids. The food was good and we enjoyed the lunch.

The Black Pelican Seafood Co. is about a mile and a half from the Hilton Garden Inn, where we stayed the weekend. It is in a building from which the telegram the Wright Brothers home describing their first successful flight was sent. We ate in the outside bar area which overlooks the ocean. The food was great with the best... More

Came recommended by concierge at hotel and lived up our expectations. Was very crowded but we were seated in a timely manner. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Would definitely go back.

Historic building and cool atmosphere and great service. They need a few more choices for landlubbers though...

We tried several lunch specials and all were great--fried rockfish, baja lime mahi, flounder. We've been here in the past and never had a bad experience.

The location was close to our hotel and the scenery is spectacular. We were looking for a location that was FAMILY friendly. This was the place! I had the Tuna Steak w/Ala Maui Sesame seared wasabi aioli, sweet chili and mango pineapple chutney, rice and zucchini. It was the BEST, I ever had. Before this x-perience, I didn't';t like Tuna... If you like seafood or steak, you will love the Black Pelican. The fresh seafood was prepared perfectly, while the steaks are wonderful. Fancy food in a casual atmosphere with ocean views. This is a very busy place, but for good reason. Get there early if you don't want to wait. If you do have to wait, there is a... More

I have dined at this restaurant a couple of times. During this visit I ordered the Wanchese Fisherman's Risotto. It was pretty good. I wasn't too crazy about the crispy sweet potato nest that was on top of the dish. I mixed it in with the risotto and it tasted a little bit better that way. I was not at... More
