We eat here at least every two weeks. Best seafood around. Reasonable prices. You order at the counter, then eat in dining room or take it out. They also have fresh vegetables.

If you have never been there, prepare yourself for a full parking lot when you arrive. That is always a good sign of a great eating place. Laid back atmosphere, large portions and good choices. My personal favorite is the chicken tenders (at a fish camp-GASP!) they are really really good! You can't go wrong with anything you order, friendly... More

I haven't really been to many of the southern fish camp style establishments around here, but from what I've heard they can hit or miss on portion and freshness. Went here with a family member from the area who loved the place as a kid, we both ordered platters (oysters, shrimp, deviled crab, perch, and flounder all fried- slaw and... More

If you want that old-style, fish camp type food, where everything is fried and breaded, go to Love's. We found this place while traveling through town, and we liked it a lot. The food was hot and there was plenty of it. We should've shared a plate. If you've never been before, you order at the counter when you go... More

Stopped in at the Fish Box for a quick bite with friends and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the small butterfly shrimp plate and was glad I got small. There were at least 12 nice sized, perfectly fried shrimp on the small plate. The plate came with fresh fries, really good hush puppies, and decent slaw. Service was counter style...order... More

We ordered catfish and had side order of okra. We got the senior portion but it was a huge amount of food. Was excellent and not greasy. You order first and then sit in the restaurant area which is decorated with all sorts of neat antiques. Very friendly and clean. Can't wait to go back!!

If you want a local flare, this is your place. While the price of entres are mostly over $10, you're going to get plenty of food for the price. If you go with the 2 or 3 item combo you can easily share with another adult. I personally suggest the flounder as it is always delicious.

My husband's grandfather loved going to Love's and we took him for his 97th birthday....it was the last time we've been. I look forward to going back. We ordered take out from there when my parents were in town. They don't have fish camps where they live. They loved it - and so do we! Always clean, friendly and service... More
