we used to go here all the time, now haven't been in 2 years because the food had gone way downhill. Used to have breakfast here at least once a month. lunch and dinner also but no longer. the last time we had dinner here, I lifted up the veal from my plate and it was loaded with grease

Ate there on Saturday night and they have a 2-1 Pound lobster special for $19.95. This is for one order. Sounds good, right? Well, the lobsters were steamed and were overcooked & rubbery, even the tails were hard to chew. They did not cut open the back or belly of the tail and it was hard to eat with all... More

Hadn't been here, probably in close to 20 years, but the real estate agent we were with recommended it as a good "sit down to eat" place in the off season. She wasn't wrong! There were 4 of us and 3 of us ordered the lunch specials. For me, it was the reuben sandwich and the other 2 got the... More

Dec 29, 2014 Have reviewed JR previously, but was compelled to provide an update. Jolly Roger has long been one of our most favorite breakfast spots along the OBX. Our breakfast on this Monday morning was outstanding in every way—coffee, pier-style eggs (scrambled with cheddar cheese and sausage), pancakes, eggs benedict, and hash browns. All three of us left more... More

We were looking forward to our first visit here but unfortunately it was ruined by the rude hostess. She walked us to a table but we prefer booths so when we asked if she had any available she just sighed at us and walked off. We followed her to a booth where she told us it would probably be a... The owner is on site and very attuned to her customers. The atmosphere is very querkie, which makes it interesting. My husband enjoyed his steak sandwich. They have a lot of come on's and give aways to attract customers and the people at the bar, which is far enough away not to disturb diners seemed to be having a grand... More

Great breakfast. Loved the "trash" platter. Always friendly and fun atmosphere. If you come to Outer Banks, this is the place to go. Stay awhile and enjoy the warm company.

This is my very favorite restaurant in the Outer Banks. The food is delicious, the coffee is always good, and the atmosphere is fun. They keep the place decorated with Christmas lights and everything pirate and mermaid related. I love their French toast

Everything else was closed and we were looking for steak and seafood. This place closes at 2am. We were a little worried at first since it is a bar and restaurant with karaoke, but not a problem!! It was great!! Food: Prime rib was awesome!! Crab cakes on a bed of grits were outstanding! Hamburger was just like a homemade... More
