Nestled off the beaten path in a Victorian house surrounded by 400 year-old oak trees, we are a local's favorite. Our seafood is brought in fresh daily, and we use locally grown ingredients. All the locals love our filet dishes as well as our large menu. All desserts are homemade. We are a family run restaurant with most of our staff having been with us for over 15 years. We do everything to make sure all of our customers leave happy.

Amazing

This is the best restaurant on the beach. French food is the standard. Creative menu and interesting combinations. Delicious seafood and steaks. Love the pear salad. Does not have liquor just wine.

For old people,,,,not impressed. It looks dated. Food was fair. Better places to eat. No liquor license but has wine and beer.

In the past, this has consistently been our favorite restaurant for fine dining on the Outer Banks. However, this visit was a bit disappointing. In fairness, it was their first night to be open for the summer season so perhaps there were still kinks to be worked out. The atmosphere was, as always, lovely, and our waiter superb. However, the... More

Well, it wasn't terrible. However, there's no way the hype and price match this place. I ordered the filet with crab meat. It was average at best. The sides were cold and bland. The green beans were not at all fresh. I have honestly had better meals at chains, and that's saying a lot coming from me. I'm no culinary... More

We are so sorry you didn't have a good experience at our restaurant. Most people LOVE our French country decor from my mother's house and our numerous trips to Europe. We only serve the freshest ingredients and have never had anyone not love our filet and crabmeat.. Our green beans come in fresh daily as well. We wish you had... More

My husband and I just finished dinner at the Colington Cafe. It was the first time we had been there but it WILL NOT be the last. It was one of the best meals we have had. It is a great place to celebrate a special occasion at a reasonable price or just a night out.

We are visiting the area from out of state and discovered Colington Cafe on this site. We were celebrating our anniversary so we were hoping for a nice place to have dinner. We read great reviews so we thought we would give it a try. It far exceeded our expectations in every way...the food was delicious. From start to finish... More

Went to Colington Cafe with my family. Charming place, good food (Recommend the She crab soup, delicious), definitively worth the trip.

Good - Menu, gluten free, service, upscale old house decor, friendly Need to improve - Chicken was dry, room was freezing, sauces used conned not fresh base. May very well be the best restaurant int Kill Devil Hills, but there certainly room for some improvement.

Everything that was brought to our table was a dream: from the wine to the dessert. I got the special and the scallops melted in my mouth like they should. Just incredible.
