My wife and I try to get to Collington Cafe at least once every time we are in the Outer banks. They have great food. I particularly like the surf and turf and so does my wife. I like the staff, like the surroundings, really everything is great. Best part for me is the meal is about half what you... more

We went to The Colington Cafe for a special dinner on the last night of our Outer Banks vacation. The food was wonderful and comparably priced with other area restaurants. The service was great and the restaurant itself was very pretty. It is located in a victorian house on a side street from the main highway through Kill Devil Hills.... more

Over the years and numerous outer banks trips, our family always goes to the Colington Cafe, and last week, once again, was very pleased. Beautiful setting, the best of service, and fantastic food. Good value for theouter banks. Other places are much higher, and not as good. This place is always consistent-every year the food and service is 5 star... more

I've been to the Collington Cafe many times over the last 20 years and the food has always been very good, service good too, and their prices have always been reasonable. A little out of the way. From Duck just drive up the main drag through Kill Devil Hills, past the Wright Brother's Memorial, and take a right at the... more

This is not a place you will find just driving around. You have to be told about it to find it. It's off a small road just behind the Wright Brother Monument. Everything was fantastic. We started with the combo plate appitizer and loved everything on it. The restaurant is in a home converted and very tastefully done with a... more

We eat here on every trip we take to the Outer Banks. Our most recent trip a few weeks ago was not a disappointment. I had a wahoo and scallops special and my wife had the fried shrimp - both were excellent. I also had the berry cobbler for dessert and it was just fantastic. more

We went for our first visit after my mother recommended Colington Cafe. It MUST be the best kept secret in all of the Outer Banks! The place was wonderful, the wait staff prompt and courteous and the food was NOT long coming out. We had the hot crab dip appetizer, shrimp and scallop napoleon and my husband had the filet... more

We just completed our third visit to the Colington Cafe during our vacations to the Outer Banks over the years. I am happy to report that the Colington has not changed one bit. Services is still friendly and prompt, the menu appeals to everyone in our family, and the quiet, low key atmoshpere is still present. We will always make... more

Just returned from OBX(July, 2008) for about the 20th yr and had dinner again at the Colington Cafe. We are never disappointed at the quality of food at this restaurant. It is in a charming victorian type setting nestled under beautiful trees with little white lights. While all of the OBX is very beach casual, it is fun one night... more
