Have rarely given a restaurant a 5 but in this case they truly earned it. This was a rare combination of real value and wonderful food. The wine list was so reasonable my husband asked if it was by the glass or bottle. Service was impeccable. We had dessert because of the previous courses and it did not disappoint.

My husband and I had a romantic dinner at the Colington Cafe last night and really enjoyed it. This was our second time there. We shared the crab dip and Cesar salad for appetizers and both were very good. My husband had the filet mignon and crab cake dinner. The filet was very tender and tasty. I had a seared... More

My husband and I were at the OBX after cancelling a trip for our 5-year anniversary last Oct/Nov due to Hurricane Sandy's arrival...so we decided to have the dinner we would have had then if we had been ....and we are so glad we followed the reviews and recommendations and selected Colington Cafe...despite being rear-ended by a local (possibly unlicensed!)... My husband and I went here for our 10th Anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the dinner was great. I was sad I hadn't left room for dessert because they had a large selection that looked delicious! The service was also great. I would suggest making reservations. I will go back again for sure!

Seven of my girlfriends and I recently enjoyed a week at the beach. The weather was cold, windy, and rainy, but one of the highlights of our stay was dinner at the Colington Cafe. The service was great despite the fact they were short-staffed. We all ordered different meals and each one got rave reviews. My fish of the day... More

The Colington Café offers great service, a menu that pleases everyone, at a price that can't be beat. The chicken breast and pork tenderloin come with a raspberry sauce that is delicious. The grilled shrimp is a large enough serving that you won't leave hungry. Try to leave room for dessert because they are baked on the premises and are... More

The service was great. The food was great. The price was great. It was all around the best place in Colington to eat now a days. Going there again but next time with a bigger crowd.

Our meals were good and service was fairly efficient but very pleasant so we didn't mind not getting bread, etc. The decor in the room we were seated in is dated and a bit fussy but it's easily overlooked. We'd go back.

For the past six years, we have rented a beach house at Kill Devil Hills with nine other couples. We only dine out one night and the restaurant by popular demand is the Colington Cafe, situated off the beaten path behind the Wright Bros. Memorial. The menu selections are designed to satisfy everyone's palates, plus excellent chef's specials. We make... More

To celebrate a 45th wedding anniversary, took the advice of recent diners and were very well pleased. Inviting, genuinely friendly, efficient staff delivered 4 delicious meals and one creme brulee which my sister and I totally enjoyed. Will definitely come back when visiting the Outer Banks in the Fall or next April. One thing, no shades to fend off the... More
