The service was very nice, and despite the reviews on this app, the food was only marginally okay. We had the special appetizer; a smoked salmon, wasabi slaw and wonton stack, and the coconut shrimp. The salmon was lost in the big pile of spicy slaw with a large greasy fried wonton. The shrimp were over battered and overcooked. The... More

My husband and I ate here this evening and both agree that it's the best quality meal we've ever had in OBX!!! We started with She-crab soup, bacon wrapped scallops and both had specials for our entrees. Everything was amazing! The server was friendly and knowledgeable. Our drinks were always full. Be sure to leave room for dessert!!! All of... More

What a charming place. A small house nestled in the trees. The Colington transports you from the sandy beaches to down south atmosphere and southern charm. Gazebos, small gardens and lawn add to the charm. The café is an older home converted into a wonderful dining experience. It has tasteful décor, roomy seating and quiet atmosphere. Reservations are suggested because of... More

There is not a thing I would change about this dinner. We did not have a reservation, and the hostess fit us in. While waiting, went to gift shop- what a delight and got great recommendations for dinner. Our server was wonderful....do not miss the She Crab Soup and Shrimp Napoleon...no one in our group had a bad dinner. Food... More

after reading reviews about the Collington Cafe we decided to try it. It was wonderful. Great atmosphere especially if you are celebrating a special occasion. Food was great and service was very attentive. Too bad we found this restaurant towards the end of our vacation but will definitely put it on our list of places we have to go to... More

Dinner, Saturday August 22nd. My wife chose Collington Café for her 55th birthday celebration. The food and service were top-notch in every respect! Had not eaten here in many, many years, so looked forward to this evening. Started a little rough with our initial table being on the enclosed side porch which tends to be noisy due to its ‘echo’... This quaint little restaurant is a hidden gem! They have a gift shop that serves wine and beer, it was perfect for while you wait for your table. We had a very romantic dinner in the sun room. The food was deliciously prepared. Great service! I highly recommend it!

My wife and I hosted a pre-wedding rehearsal dinner here. We were able to get a private room given the size of our group. It was a little tight.........call it cozy. The food was outstanding. All our guests raved about it. Nice wine choices as well. We ordered straight off the menu so we can vouch for the freshness and... More
