We passed by this place looking for a place to have lunch and figured we would go in and give it a try. It did not disappoint! They had incredible food! It's a small place with fun artwork everywhere just one block from the beach. I could not believe how good the food was for such a small place. We... More

The restaurant looks like a small cafe...one that you'd easily pass by....but DON'T pass it up! The food was absolutely wonderful.

Good food. The menu hasn't changed much and is good but not great. Tiny restaurant. Kind of a long wait for the food or the table due to the size. I can't say I won't be returning but it's definitely not my #1 restaurant on the beach.

We dined here on a recent Monday night and ordered the salmon wrap and fish tacos. The food was fantastic. Our server Penny was very attentive and even gave us some nearby recommendations, She also told us about Taco Thursdays and showed us the taco menu for that night. We went back Thursday and enjoyed the brisket, avocado, seared tuna... More

Set in a very small strip shopping center, this likewise tiny restaurant has an eclectic mix of offerings, with more of a focus on seafood. My (fried) crab cake salad was fairly mild (trending towards bland),with an avocado ranch dressing. My wife's fried rockfish wrap with Gouda cheese was good in her view (less so in mine). Service was very... More

Recently found my notes from an old trip...this made my list of highlights for food. Especially the fried green tomatoes (w/pesto, goat cheese and balsamic). Husband had the crab cake with corn relish...spectacular. I had the blackened tuna w/goat cheese and roasted pesto romas. A large, delicious serving. The service wasn't great, but the are Dudes after all.

We've driven by Food Dudes for several years (it's in an unassuming little strip center), but never stopped in until today. Wow. After just one meal, it is now one of our all-time favorite places in OBX. Salmon wrap -- incredible. Blackened Rockfish -- phenominal. Fish tacos -- some of the best ever. Even our 10-year-old's cheeseburger was great. Also... More

So glad we had the opportunity to eat at Food Dudes. Mahi Mahi dish was huge and delicious. Was pleasantly surprised at the serving portion. Only wish it came with a vegetable. Ordered a salad which was fine. My partner enjoyed her vegetable quesadilla. Neat artwork for sale, too.

We visited today for lunch based on TA reviews. We found tempting selections from their menu, Sunday brunch menu and the daily specials. We opted for the Blackened Mahi Mahi daily special and were not disappointed. Seating is limited and decor eclectic. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. Highly recommended for casual dining with great food.

Really liked this place and can't wait to go back. I had the Mac and Cheese which had a blend of cheeses and was sprinkled with cheese itz . The waffle fries were perfectly seasoned, I didn't need to add anything to them.
