We decided to find a good seafood buffet while vacationing in Kill Devil Hills, NC. WOW did we! This is not just a buffet! DO NOT insult this place by saying it's like a Ryans, Golden Corral, or other buffet. It's THE seafood buffet! If you want GOOD seafood, 21 GOOD desserts, American food, and great service, this is THE... More

Lots of seafood in this buffet and the prices vary but kids 12 and under pay a kid's price. The buffet is loaded with seafood items including shrimp and snow crab legs. The she crab soup was sweet and good and the new England clam chowder had a good deal of clam meat. There are at least 30 items on... More

This buffet price is quite high, but comparable with other seafood buffets on the outer banks, and probably has superior food in some cases. The seafood options are excellent but just get some more she-crab soup instead of dessert. The desserts were heavy and short on flavor and already tired-looking at an early hour.

This place was packed..they were very very busy, but the line moved fast we waited with our party of 5 about 20 minutes and that was at 7:30...but once seated our waitress was very sweet, not pushy did not rush us and cleaned up our plates as we made our trips to the buffet. This buffet had all types of... More

Good assortment of seafood ... and, for the meat-eater, there's beef, pork, chicken, etc. Salads, breads, muffins, hush puppies, vegetables and desserts abound as well. Perfect for picky eaters. Clean, comfortable atmosphere with friendly service.

My wife, daughter and I came across Captain George's after being told the wait was 45 minutes at a couple other places. Captain Georges was clean, inviting, modern and delicious. We wanted some good seafood (shrimp, clams, mussels, etc). They had everything including AYCE crab legs. They had broiled, fried, baked etc. They also had ribs, prime rib, chicken, etc.... More

We went as a group of nine for dinner this evening. Three adults and three children (ages 8, 10, and 10) had the all-you-can eat buffet, and all were very happy with the variety and the quality of the food. (Those who had the king crab legs were especially happy with their selection.) The three kids were able to reach... More

Go early. Go hungry. If you arrive after 6pm, expect a long wait. We arrived at 430; no wait. We tried to go the night before at 630 and the wait was 60-90 minutes. Great service. Food was great. She crab soup is awesome and often overlooked. Kids under 12 half price. Pricey but worth it for the variety and... More

The food is always great at Captain George's. This was one of the choices in restaurants that my wife and I made recently while at OBX. We had the buffet and if was excellent. The price is about $35 per person and it is worth it!
