Quaint place for relaxing lunch!

I took my mom to the Tea Room for her birthday and a close aunt joined us. We have been here several times and the food is worth the wait. Mom and I shared a teapot for two which was plenty for both of us with several refills. The chicken pie is always a favorite but we are usually pleased... read more

In a quaint older house. Easy to get to. Very nice menu but limited. Large portions, excellent dessert selection. Great place for lunch.

We LOVE tea, and we enjoy afternoon tea everywhere we travel, major cities and all around the world. No, this is not a fancy upscale tea like you would find in an upscale hotel, like the O'Henry or the Ballantyne Resort. It is also less expensive then those. This is more like a tea you would find traveling in the... More

I have been to the Pegg House Tea Room for Afternoon Tea several times over the past few years. The food is excellent - in fact, it is as good as any afternoon tea I have enjoyed in New York, Chicago, London, etc. It is fresh, well-presented, and delicious. The surroundings are not pretentious or luxurious, just old-fashioned and home-like,... More

This place excels at mediocrity. If you want to eat food that isn't that good and overpriced and drink tea (Republic of Tea brand) that you can buy in an upscale grocery store or Panera, this is the place for you. Also, if you are looking for a venue for an event and would like to hostess at your own... More

Love their scones with Devonshire cream. And it's so nice to be served hot teas from a good sized list of flavors in an individual sized tea pot. And try the high tea platter. It's fun to taste a variety of 2-bite foods that arrive on a tiered platter. Just keep in mind that it is a small staff running... More

I took my daughter for lunch and we were so impressed. We felt like we were taken back to the old days, restaurant in an old house with creeky floors, which was fun, and the wait staff looked like they were Moravians with their aprons on. It was soothing to the soul to say the least. The teas are excellent... More

I worked in a Tea Room when I was a lot younger in a smaller town than this....However, small towns tend to over rate food or not be as interested in great restaurants. Case in point, look at the restaurants that are rated high in Kernersville...I live in Winston, and yes, we have our own issues which I have also... More

Went here on a whim. Checked out places in K Vegas on Trip Advisor and saw this. Thought my wife would love a place like this for lunch. She did. Very quaint and cozy place. It is an old late 1800 period residence that has a downstairs restaurant. I had the chicken pie which was awesome. The wife had the... More

I wanted to treat my God Mother for her birthday and heard about the Tea Room. I looked on Tripadvisor and found the reviews to be encouraging. I made an early reservation at 11:30 a.m. in the hopes of avoiding shortages on the menu and slow service as mentioned in previous reviews. The location was easy to find, not far... More
