This place should be better. Very well managed, service is exceptional, menu is great but I always wish the food was just a little better. For the money it should be. Tends to taste more Iike an outback than a local high end restaurant. If this place was in a market with more competition at this level I think it... More

We went to the play, "Unnecessary Farce" put on by the Davidson Community Players. The play was funny and enjoyable. One of the sponsors was the restaurant, 131 Main so we went there for dinner. I had Trout. It was terrific. My husband had the Salmon Salad and it was also excellent. The prize was dessert. We shared a chocolate... More

My husband, daughter and her boyfriend and I dined at 131 Main to celebrate my birthday. We have dined here many times before and consistently all aspects of the meal exceeded our expectations. We started with appetizers of homemade pimento cheese and chips and also a black iron skillet cornbread served with warm honey. Our entrees ranged from cedar plank... More

My wife and I recently decided to enjoy a meal on the porch of this Restaurant. I had driven by many times and thought it might be fun to have dinner on their porch. We had previously eaten exclusively indoors at this location. The seats and table on the porch were very comfortable and the service started out good. After... More

A group of six met here for dinner and drinks. Our server was especially good, suggesting entrees and wine pairings. The portion sizes were huge. One in our party ordered a pork chop that was the size of a t-bone steak! Unfortunately I choose the crab cakes which did not sit well for me. A friend had the same thing... More

The restaurant is in a strip center off the main roads. It was recommended to us by a friend or we never would have found it. It soon became one of our favorite restaurants in the area for dinner. The menu and table set up is almost identical to the Houstons/ Hillstone Restaurant chain and the server told us the... More

This place has a nice patio...but it's so hard to get a seat out there when it gets warm and nice. Food wise...we thought it was just alright. The double dip appetizer was highly rated but we didn't find it 'wow' or any great.

This is one of our “neighborhood” restaurants and we have been coming here for years, mainly for lunch. Their Cast Iron Cornbread is wonderful and a very popular item. We also had Classic Cheeseburger, Club Sandwich, Cobb Salad, Thai Steak Salad, Fresh Cut Salmon and Vegetable dish. We never had a bad meal here, my absolute favorite is Crab Cake... More

Curb appeal of this place suggests more than was delivered. Maybe I'm jaded... not that it was bad but I was expecting more... went there for special occassion dinner. I had Shrimp and Grits. The grits were very thick, bordering on gummy. Sauce also very thick, although quite tasty. Service was very fast... our meal delivered within minutes of placing... More

We have been to 131Main on 2 occasions, both times for lunch. We recently took out of town visitors there & were not disappointed. The food & the atmosphere was exceptional. The portions were large enough to share or to take home.
