My sisters & I love to spend time together at the Saratoga. The setting is special, the service is great, & the food is wonderful! So much to choose from on the menu.

Our friends told us that they were taking us to the best restaurant in Hillsborough. Walking down the main street I was wondering where it could be. Surely it wouldn't be in a store-front and up the narrow staircase. What a surprise! Starting with the friendly greeting to the waiter who made . we well served and welcome we looked... More

This restaurant above a shop on the main street in Hillsborough is reminiscent of an English Tearoom, in the nicest way. The food is good, not fancy, and very well priced. Impressively, lots of people seemed well known to the waitresses - who are friendly and hard working to ensure good delivery times, so it must be very consistent, too.... More

This is undoubtedly the best choice for lunch, if you can walk up a flight of stairs. The owners and staff are super friendly, never get rattled, get the food out fast so you can get on with your day. It is a very pretty setting, interesting changing exhibits of local artists, nice linens. They like reservations but handle walk-ins.... More

What a great restaurant in downtown Hillsborough. A wonderfully charming place for Lunch or Dinner. Don't forget to try the sliced sirloin over butter & garlic toast - just wonderful! The staff is aways pleasant and attentive. The tables and chairs are a bit old but that is the charm of the place. Enjoy!

The owners and their staff are wonderful and the food is always excellent. The second floor location offers a great view of downtown Hillsborough. My only complaint which is not really a complaint is that they don't serve sweet tea! A staple in the South but not so much in Saratoga, NY which the owners are from.

Had a chance to be in Hillsborough recently and found this through a Google search and Trip Advisor rating. My friend had the special NY Strip steak and I had the peppered Swordfish. Both came with rosemary mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. I also had a nice house salad of mixed greens with a delightful strawberry vinaigrette. All of... More

They have the best hamburgers ever. Go at lunch and you can get a really fresh salad -- get the house dressing for a treat, or the most un-greasy fries you'll ever find. I just wish they offered sweet tea, and fries at supper.

Have been to this restaurant numerous times over the last several years. Food is consistently good. Prices are good especially if you go before? 6pm for the special pricing. It is up a flight of stairs and can be drafty if seated near a window but like the old-time homey feel of the environment.

My wife and I had the honey almond salmon- one of their specialties. It was tasty. The mashed potatoes and salad were pedestrian- there was no effort to make them unique.
