We tried Russell"s Steakhouse tonight for the first time. We had talked about visiting here for yrs. Needless to say, we had high expectations. Boy, were we let down! The food was ok (salad was best part of meal), drinks were watered down, service was average, food way over priced for what you actually get, and atmosphere poor. We will... More

Our family went to Russells' on Mothers Day - We had a reservation because we had several young children with us, We waited close to an hour to be seated even though the dining room they showed us to had only 1 table occupied. Then no one gave us any service - no one asked if we wanted anything else,... More

I think the prices were pretty high for the steaks. We had the London Broil both ordered medium rare. Mine was overcooked but hubby's was perfect. Loved the baked sweet potato. It was soft and piping hot. The salad was my favorite. Redneck iceberg lettuce with cheese and cukes and croutons. I doubt we will go back as we were... More

The food was good though overpriced but the main compliant is the service. We were there with a group and our bill automatically included an 18% tip even though there were only 2 waitresses taking care of over 50 people. After we finally got our food we never saw our waitress again. Will never go back. (RSH)

My wife and I ate here for her work's Christmas party. There was about 20 of us and we had our own room upstairs. The service was great and very friendly. The waitress handed our party really well. The food good. I had rib eye and the wife had London boil. Hers was undercooked. I liked the atmosphere and the... More

Ate here in Sept. It was pretty good. Service was ok. Overpriced. We had a young gentleman as our server. He was just avergae, nothing extra. Asked about the history and he says..I don't know! Seems like the mangagment would pride itself on the history of this restaurant and educate the staff. Guess I woud go back if better prices.... More

The filet mignon I ate was an excellent cut and cooked perfectly. The loaded potato was also delicious. My friends both had rib eyes, and they were very pleased as well. The building is rustic and old, but well maintained and somewhat updated.

We had dinner at this steak house when we passed through Hillsborough traveling. We had seen the restaurant on numerous travels over the years but had never been by at a convenient time to try it. Everyone in our party enjoyed an excellent meal with very good service. My steak was slightly undercooked but, as observed by a previous reviewer,... More
