Good Value

Rapid service. Reasonable prices, typical selection. Good salsa - retried beans were more flavorful than most. Staff is friendly

Very cool historic home turned into a Mexican restaurant. They have a hacienda-style patio that is quite beautiful. The service is good; many of the servers have been there for years and from when it was another restaurant. When it was Casa Ibarra, the food was stellar and the prices reasonable. Since becoming Pueblo Viejo, the quality and flavor went... More

We visit here often and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, friendly staff, quick service, good atmosphere, and reasonably priced. We have visited for lunch and dinner on different days. Even when the parking lot is full and the restaurant is crowded; the service and food were both above average. They have ample room upstairs and downstairs which... More

Pueblo Viejo is a decent enough place for Mexican food. I wouldn't exactly call it "authentic Mexican", but it's about as close to it in Hillsborough as you're going to find. The menu has just about anything that you'd expect to find in there: tacos, tamales, flautas, echiladas, etc. The atmosphere inside is okay, and outside on the patio, a... More

Went there on a Saturday night around 6:30 and was ready for a parking lot full of cars and a possible wait but surprisingly found neither. Walked right in, seated quickly and served chips and salsa along with a drink order. When the waitress came back with our drink order, she, with a wonderful smile and attitude took our order.... We had an early dinner here last night. The weather was nice, so we sat on the patio, which was nice. I ordered chicken burritos - the description on the menu did not indicate that there were peppers and onions in the chicken and one thing I will not ever eat is peppers. The waitress was very gracious and took... More

Weak and tasteless margarita (it didn't say that on the menu!), standard tex-mex style food. Ok if you're desperate, but I don't need to go back.

Well, if you're looking for a place that will see how fast they can get you out, watery salsa, weak drinks with a lot of ice and very little alcohol, along with a fajita with nothing but peppers and onions (i THOUGHT I ordered a shrimp and chicken fajita, but you would have never known it by looking at it),... Nice break from big chain restaurants. Authentic Mexican food. Nice variety. Something for everyone. Nice polite staff. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Ate there 3/16. Restaurant sits back from road in old historic building a few miles from the freeway. Parking is a bit tight if restaurant is full. From restaurant to entry you will wind your way through the house to get to your table. Service is prompt and attentive. Salas and chip arrive almost immediately. All servers are available to...
