Retro burgers and atmosphere. Only missing are the skates.

Andy's, which has renamed itself to Hwy 55, is a great place to get a great old fashioned burger. Reminds of how Wendy's burgers used to be long, long ago though the patties are bigger here. Then there are the fries and, oh yea, the shakes. The ambiance is booths and tables with a decor that somewhat has a 1950's... More

Even though the name has been changed to Hwy 55 it's still in the same location and the fare is basically still the same. What you really need to do is revisit your prices and make them more in line with portions. Over a dollar an inch for a sandwich makes it a bit difficult to swollow.

We have been a fan of Andy's food since it opened, but they seem to be letting the place get dirty, almost greasy. It also seems that the management has turned the day-to-day operation over to a very young staff and makes me question the quality of the food.

Andy's is a small chain of grill restaurants with a 50's/60's theme. Very well done basic burgers and fires reasonably priced. Some of there menu items suffer a bit from being a bit salty but are still quickly prepared and smartly served. Servers are cute and attentive. An enjoyable experience.

This is a chain but they have fast service and great burger deals. A combo meal that includes cheeseburger any way you want, fries, large sode for less than $5.50. You have to try the frozen custard that tastes amazing!!! They will give you a free sample for the asking. Always friendly service despite it has mostly high schoolers working.... More

Small franchise with multiple locations in NC. Happened upon it just off the interstate when looking for a quick bite to eat, but no hungry for the usual Fast-Food (the Clown, the King or the Colonel). Met at the door by a smiling girl in a pink top and pony tail. Ate at the bar as the place was busy... More

Last week my husband and I decided to have a gastronomic splurge at Andy's Burgers Shakes and Fries. We found the restaurant in a strip mall in Hillsborough, NC while traveling. The decor is fun 50's in a casual atmosphere. The menu is just like the name of the restaurant - burgers, shakes and fries. Our order was promptly taken... More
