This fantastic restaurant never disappoints. Whether it be an early dinner in the Bistro of chilled Caesar salad, baby lamb chops, or braised short ribs with mashed pots and collards, or from the dinner menu, the trout, the lamb, the steak, or "The Tomahawk Chop with Lobster"! Hubby and I had this wonderful special last night and I can't find... More

Being in the North Carolina mountains was a pleasure. Finding a great German restaurant in this small town was quite a surprise. My wife had their trout dinner; I decided on their "German sampler" -- what a treat. We've been in Germany, eaten in their restaurants. We know what authentic German food should taste like ~~ so does Wolfgang !... More

This is the second time we have eaten here-we came here 2 yrs. ago for a weekend and could not wait to return. I had the beef short ribs-again. They were the best and even thought they have a choice of 1 or 2 ribs I do not know how anyone could eat 2 of them. My husband had the... More

This is a Highlands must! The atmosphere is quiet and intimate yet fun. They have a great wine list. I had the crab cakes while my friend had a wonderful steak. Both dished were very flavorful. If you are in the Highlands area - eat here. When the weather is nice they have great outdoor dining too.

My husband and I had our Rehearsal Dinner at Wolfgang's in early March 2014. We had 97 guests so we took over the entire restaurant/bar and fit perfectly. We were able to have pre-dinner cocktails both outside and in the back bar area. We then moved into the restaurant/main bar for dinner. The atmosphere was ideal for a Rehearsal Dinner... More

Doesn't live up to the recommendation were given. Don't bother. Atmosphere in the "back room" is non-existent. Food was nothing special and pricey.

We are very sorry to learn that your visit to our restaurant was disappointing. Numerous members of our staff, management and the chef/owner checked on your table while you were dining and nothing negative was stated. Please let any restaurant know if something is wrong or not to your satisfaction while you are dining. We always appreciate feedback. More

I travel a good deal and always look for a special restaurant that makes life on the road halfway bearable. I've found that a 35-50 dollar meal (with wine) can be as bad as a chain restaurant with too-high prices or as good as a diamond found off the beaten path. If you are looking for amazing food, delightful staff,... More

In keeping with Highlands, Wolfgang's gives attention to every detail, has excellent cuisine, and a welcoming atmosphere. We always enjoy a wonderful meal with great service and tonight was no different. Having sampled lobster bisque in many places, Wolfgang's is absolutely the best. We always look forward to our next visit to Highlands and especially Wolfgang's!

Highlands is a picturesque town and Wolgang's is the perfect restaurant for your visit! The restaurant itself has great character and the staff was so friendly. It felt like they were welcoming me back even though it was my first visit! The food was excellent. I am vegetarian and the chef made me my own special plate that was not... More

don't know if it was just the mood/timing or if the food really was as good as it seemed. The escargot was absolutely amazing. Attention to the smallest details were outstanding. Even the obligatory bread was delicious. Can't wait to go back in the high season and sit outside.
