Marie was our server and she helped in our choices, she was great. We had the Crab Louis, Shrimp Bisque, Trout Oscar, Weiner Schnitzel and a New York Strip. All were prepared and served correctly. Carmel Creme for dessert made for a perfect ending to a perfect meal

My long term misconception was that Wolfgang's was a German restaurant. My mistake. While there are a few examples of German cuisine, the vast majority of the diverse menu is replete with different seafood, beef and other desirable offerings. I think there are at least four different steaks from which to choose. We both had the seafood special, sauteed tiggerfish.... More

Relaxed, refreshing dining experience. The food was excellent, but especially the North Carolina Trout. Perfectly cooked, visually appealing and excellent mild taste. Quality service. We will definitely return.

We love eating at Wolfgang's...great variety of menu choices, even for me...who is finicky. My husband and I enjoy having the choice of eating indoors or out. Great service as well! Wolfgang is so gracious, as he comes by your table to greet and thank you for your business. We eat here often when in Highlands.

Highlands is one of our favorite places to visit in North Carolina, but this trip we only came back for one night and that was to be able to eat at Wolfgang's. I had been several years since we were here and Wolfgang's did not disappoint. I had been thinking about the Short Ribs for days prior to arrival. I... More

We always enjoy eating the lamb chops and enjoying the colorful guests in the bistro! And, the dining room is lovely, the food exquisite. One year we were trapped in this restaurant during a hail storm. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We ate there on our most recent visit and enjoyed it very much. We both had grouper and it was wonderful. A must if you go to Highlands NC.

Dinner was wonderful. Perfectly cooked lamb with ample trimmings. Service solicitous, caring and professional. Downtown Highlands location for many years with imaginary Bavarian and Classic cuisine. There are outdoor tables, a full bar and fine weather for relaxing and drinking wine.

We visited Highlands (and Wolfgangs) July 4th weekend. The food and service exceeded my expectations. You can choose to eat indoors, or outdoors...both of which are quite charming. I would definately make a reservation if you're planning to eat here. I had the crab cake and shrimp and my husband had the trout. Both were excellent!!

When visiting the Highlands we always eat at Wolfgang's. It is casual and has a very nice menu. We love German food and this was quite good. There is a nice selection of wine to choose from and the atmosphere lively. We arrived on a Sunday night and the restaurant was slammed and did not expect so many guests. They... More
