What a treat!

This is a seasonal restaurant - open early May to November, and breakfast is served only on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 - 11. There's also a Sunday Brunch from 12 - 2 (a real deal at $20!). The sign over the restaurant, at the Lodge, says "Altitudes." My sister and myself wanted to try some place... read more

We were staying at the Skyline Lodge and had late dinner reservations in Highlands so headed to Altitudes for some cocktails and appetizers. The crab cakes were magnificent and just plain crab, if there was any filler we didn't see or taste it. And our cocktails were superb. The escargots were served in a puff pastry with a lovely light... More

A Frank Lloyd Wright inspired lodge with a surprisingly good restaurant; especially for Sunday brunch and Friday night prime rib. Excellent service with generous cocktails and an acceptable wine list.

We have been to the lodge and restaurant several times over the many years. It is a favorite escape. The lodge is comfortable, the restaurant fantastic. You should be so lucky to dine here. The squash ravioli was superb, I will find this recipe. The fish is always fresh and prepared expertly. The prime rib is to die for... Sitting... More

I made reservations for Sunday Brunch. We were greeted by our hostess who escorted us to a table on the terrace overlooking the mountain side. Our waiter started us off with mimosa's to enjoy while we reviewed the menu. Our meal included salad, entree, and blueberry bread pudding. This was a wonderful way to start the week off with Sunday... More

We have stayed at skyline twice now! This place is very cozy and provides a wonderful mountain feel! The pet-friendly style was a huge help and they even provided a bed and good bowl!

Beautiful historic hotel atop 4300 ft high Flat Top Mountain with spectacular sunrise and sunset views. Just minutes from downtown Highlands, but without the traffic and noise. The service and food was amazing. All of this at a very reasonable price will bring us back to Skyline Lodge again soon.

Shhh! Don't tell anyone else because I want to be able to sit at my favorite table by the open window and feel the crisp mountain breeze as I sip the complimentary champagne during another Sunday brunch at Highlands best kept secret. Sunday's should include Skyline for you too, but only if you enjoy homemade breads and desserts, a nice... More
