We loved this place! Ate there several times during our stay. The best food in Highlands! The fresh local trout was excellent as was the rest of our meal. The owners brought special tastes from the chef.

Decent atmosphere and service. Our appetizer was fried pimento cheese and was amazing. Unfortunately this is the only positive thing I have to say. The potato salad was absolutely horrific....couldn't tell if it was a bad recipe (red potatoes, sweet potatoes and miracle whip) or if it was spoiled. Only had one bite. Ordered the turkey apple and Brie sandwich... More

Food was creative, delicious and well prepared. Incredible flavors and everyone said their dish was great. Service was excellent and we had a large group.

Food very tasty and great special fruit tea. Lovely inside dining and little tables outside as well, weather permitting.

I have read some of the negative reviews and other than some very average service our party of three was very satisfied with our food. We sat outside on a beautiful winter day and had a very enjoyable lunch. Food while not spectacular was still good enough for lunch and prices were not bad for an upscale town. Keep it... More

Had a wonderful pimento, bacon sandwich. The food is great but the restaurant could use a little updating. Has outside eating which was the main draw for eating here so it was a nice surprise the food was so good.

I had the Hamburger (Dry but good). And my wife's meal was the best.. Quinoa salad! Try it! The wait (over 40 minutes) lost this place a star, everyone there had to wait waaay to long.

A most pleasant experience for us. Had lunch on a fall afternoon. Spinach salad with goat cheese was great. Turkey, brie, stewed apples on Cibiatta bread was delicious. Would reccomend for a simi Southern experience with an international flair

My husband and I have eaten here on previous trips and love the atmosphere, the food, and the service. This time, we had the trout meniere dinner and the salmon dinner. Both were excellent! For dessert, I enjoyed the flour less chocolate dessert, drizzled with chocolate and raspberry sauce. Yummy!

Highlands is full of high-end restaurants and sandwich shops, but there are few middle-of-the-road restaurants. The Bistro on Main is in the middle category. We ate dinner there on a recent trip to Highlands and were very pleased. My husband had the chicken pot pie, and I had the pot roast, a special that night. We added side salads, and... More
