I have been to Lakeside for brunch twice and have really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The waiter was friendly and service was great. On our previous visit, we sat in the garden which was lovely. I had the Eggs Benedict over a crab cake which prepared well as were the dishes ordered by the rest of our group.

My wife and I had an early dinner last night 8/22/15 at Lakeside. Our server was Jerry. He gave us meaningful and complete descriptions of ingredients, preparation options, and specials not on the menu, as well as his recommendations, after asking about our preferences. We had the trout and lamb chops along with lobster and shrimp bisque. Our requests for... More

This is another favorite of mine, however I was less pleased with the fish served to my friend. Our dinner was great, the steak is the best! The decor is a little outdated and in my opinion the restaurant needs a clean fresh look. The service was great and our table was round and right in the center of the... More

Our dinner for 4 last night included the worst crab cakes any of us had ever tasted, creamed spinach that featured a few leaves floating in white goo, and dried out baked oysters. Plus it's too loud to talk. Go elsewhere

The food is fresh, delicious and consistently good. The only downside is the very limited vegetarian selection. I wish they would put some effort into some vegetarian options other than mixed veggies in one of three sauces :-/

Gourmet food ....some tables can view the lake. Expensive but worth it. Have hosted a private brides luncheon here also.

It was great to see famaliar faces, Jeremy seated us again this year and he has the ability to make you feel very happy that you choose Lakeside. Jerry was our server and is definitely one of the GREATS!. He helped us make our decisions (only after being asked) and we LOVED his suggestions. The fried goat cheese salad ($12),... More

Even the cover of the menu is the same. They have opened up some space inside with the nice outdor patio. But the food was never that great here and it is no better with new whatever. Special of the day was flounder and everything came on instant polenta- flounder was so overcooked it was tasteless. Pleasant place with nice... More

Wonderful wine list; impeccable service; relaxed but classy atmosphere. Food, particularly salad, was outstanding. Likewise, a great martini. Fish dish was a bi "fishy," yet remainder of the dishes were excellent. Won't have fish next visit, but will return.
