Lovely place

Unique place to dine. We went on a recommendation from the B&B Inn we stayed in. Enjoyed the food. I had filet mignon and it was excellent. The management and staff was impressive. The restaurant is a little small and glad we made reservations in advance. My favorite place to eat in the Highlands.

This restaurant is small and was very noisy until a large group of people left. Good rolls and homemade ranch dressing. Our waiter was Jeremy & he is fantastic! Great personality, knowledgeable about the menu and wine. i told him I read about him on Trip Advisor and he blushed. :) I promised I would write about him too. Both... More

First time eating here, we went early, so the noise wasn't bad at all. But it is a extremely small restaurant. The service was wonderful. We had the wedge salad, it was amazing. The special was the aged ribeye. Both my husband and I got it. It was terrible. It was so tough you could not eat it. When the... More

On a recent trip to Highlands, we visited the Lakeside Restaurant. I had made the reservation over the phone and talked to a very pleasant woman named Mary. As it turns out, she was our waitress. We had a wonderful time. Fantastic, friendly service, by dessert we felt like we had been patrons for years. Terrific staff, warm and hospitable.... More

as the rain had fallen for 2 days so the parking lot was flooded. But we persisted and were warmly welcomed! Outstanding food and service in this old home like atmosphere sitting by a beautiful lake. We enjoyed a nice wine and one of the best kale salads ever eaten. Our salmon appetizer on crispy pancake was yummy. Others had... More

Been coming here for 20+ years. Lamb was not special as the past. Fish special had to be cut with a knife. Will not come back.

Let me start out by saying I am not one to write online reviews. However, after my experience at Lakeside, I feel compelled to start! It was our first visit to this establishment, and Highlands, and so I cannot compare Lakeside's current operations to what it was under previous ownership. We left absolutely AMAZED!! The restaurant is charming! The hostess... More

Dined on a Thursday and truly enjoyed our dinner. Lakeside is a small restaurant, but the staff does a fantastic job making you evening extremely enjoyable. We had read in other reviews how Wonderful Jeramy was as a waiter.. Well all other comments are very true. Jeramy was terrific. Not only did we enjoy our dinner but we were fortunate... More

My husband and I have dined at The Lakeside for years, and we were always pleased with the delicious food and service. We were unsure how the quality would change after it changed ownership. After celebrating our anniversary dinner there on Friday, we were so happy to find that the food is still top rate - as is the service!

Lakeside has a new Fall offering, many seafood items prepared with local root vegetables. The local butternut squash soup with cranberry puree and saba was absolutely over the top. Try and get in Jeremy's section.
