We joined some friends at Lakeside Restaurant..it was a lovely evening, attentive service from our waitress Mary, and the rest of the staff. Many selections, specials on the menu. Food was delicious, wine and drinks good...Will definitely return...it is a hidden treasure in Highlands...There are many restaurants to choose from in Highlands, and this is right at the top...

Food was good. service was good but rushed. As soon as we advised our waitress that we weren't having desert, she bought the check and told us that she needed the table for another party who was waiting. I didn't even get to finish my wine.

We've been coming to Highlands for many years and I don't know how we have missed this place! Maybe it is a well kept secret - it should be! Very cozy and attentive service, paired by a menu that offers variety and creative attention to each dish. My wife had a wonderful Grouper selection, and I had Crabcakes, which were... More

Lakeside Restaurant is not along the downtown strip of Highlands. It's a block off but what a great find. On short notice they were able to accommodate our party of 8. Food & service were spectacular! The mussels app was enough for meal! I enjoyed the swordfish special and dessert should have been shared amongst all at the table -... More

Lakeside has always been the best spot in town. And it probably still is. But I have to admit that last night's fine dinner came with some sticker shock! For starters, everything is now ala cart. I started with a "unwedge salad" which was excellent but maybe too big for a starter. If they made it smaller they wouldn't have... More

Celebrated a 55th birthday last night with a last minute late reservation for 6. As we were coming in another couple leaving were moaning to us, she was saying "get the swordfish special" and he said the trigger fish was exceptional". Being from Florida, if a restaurant has trigger fish on the menu, then they generally have a great fish... More

My wife and I had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. We had heard great things about Lakeside and had high expectations. The food was excellent. My wife had a fish special and I had crabcakes. However the service was spotty at best. It started with us being seated for 30 minutes after our reservation time. Than it took... More
