Went to a Patz & Hall wine dinner here and it was incredible! Service was great very attentive and relaxed. Absolutely enjoyed the braised rabbit stuffed crepes. Can't wait to go back and try the food there again!

This a favorite place for the locals and we saw why. Small and reservations are a must. Each selection is well prepared and Mary our waitperson was perfect. We tried various selections from the menu, 6 folks and everyone selected something different, all were great. Each fish dish was super, the soups and desserts all were excellent. We made reservations... More

Got the chance to enjoy a Patz and Hall Wine dinner at Lakeside.. Food was amazing and paired perfectly with each wine pairing. Favorite was the rabbit crepes with a watermelon radish garnish paired with the Sonoma coast Patz & Hall Pinot Noir and the foie gras with a cashew puree paired with P&H Chardonnay. Dined with friends who raved... More

We were in Highlands and visited all the top restaurants. While most were very good to excellent, Lakeside stood out from the rest. Our server was very attentive and friendly without overdoing it. I wish I could remember her name(she was blonde and pregnant). Lakeside is small-about a dozen tables in a nice (what else) lakeside setting. The interior feels... More

Food was good. service was good but rushed. As soon as we advised our waitress that we weren't having desert, she bought the check and told us that she needed the table for another party who was waiting. I didn't even get to finish my wine.

We've been coming to Highlands for many years and I don't know how we have missed this place! Maybe it is a well kept secret - it should be! Very cozy and attentive service, paired by a menu that offers variety and creative attention to each dish. My wife had a wonderful Grouper selection, and I had Crabcakes, which were... More

Lakeside Restaurant is not along the downtown strip of Highlands. It's a block off but what a great find. On short notice they were able to accommodate our party of 8. Food & service were spectacular! The mussels app was enough for meal! I enjoyed the swordfish special and dessert should have been shared amongst all at the table -... More

Lakeside has always been the best spot in town. And it probably still is. But I have to admit that last night's fine dinner came with some sticker shock! For starters, everything is now ala cart. I started with a "unwedge salad" which was excellent but maybe too big for a starter. If they made it smaller they wouldn't have... More
