Great food and great time!

If you live in this area you owe it to yourself to go here. The food is great!! On a recent visit we started out with the Rosemary Loafbread and the Warm Gouda Pimento cheese for our appetizers. Both are great. For my meal I had the Billy Bob sandwich. It like a grilled cheese sandwich on... read more

I recently spent a week in High Point on a shopping trip with a friend. During our stay we had dinner and lunch at Southern Roots. The restaurant is small and the tables close together. I thought the menu was just great if you want a great home cooked southern meal with a twist, while on the road. The seafood... More

Love their food. Comfort food with a twist. Gluten free items to die for. Full bar, great wines. A little noisy when it's at full capacity. Hard to have a conversation. Nice out back patio with a fire place.

Two colleagues and I recently went here during a business trip. We chose to have dinner here based upon the recommendation of several other colleagues local to the area. After going, I can see why. We went for dinner about 6:30 on a Thursday evening. The parking was tricky; there is not much available in the lot nor on the... More

My Favorite restaurant in the area. Such a wonderful and varied menu. The Shrimp and Grits is to die for!

When at home, we rarely venture out of our town for dinner. Based on great recommendations from friends, we tried Southern Roots in Jamestown, NC and absolutely loved the food. Both the pulled pork and country steak were delicious and reasonably priced. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating, the service was excellent and the music on Wednesday,... More

Visiting family and they wanted to expose us to some good southern food, and this is one of their favorite restaurants. Very fun place, with great outdoor seating and live entertainment. Draws the crowds on a Friday night! Noisy as others have said, especially in the bar area, but our table was located against a wall so not too bad... More

Great food, casual atmosphere and friendly staff. What more are you looking for? This place has it all. Live music most nights give it the feel of a great dinner club.

Frequent Southern Roots every time in visit Greensboro. I've eaten there approximately 15 times. Thoroughly enjoy the outside firepit and dancing to a three piece band on a Saturday night. Very noisy inside because of the small dining area. Food consistently good. Great bar area for a singles crowd. Jamestown's little secret gem.

Southern Roots is wonderful. They are always busy but the wait is worth it. Great burgers for the carnivore. Fantastic salads for the herbivore and omnivores alike. Fabulous fried green tomatoes and the smoked gouda pimento cheese is unrivaled anywhere. It is a great place to meet friends and enjoy a great meal. Outside seating is lovely when weather is...
