The food and service were outstanding. They do not take dinner reservations so we went early and were able to be seated right away. But it filled up quickly and was quite noisy which made visiting with "old" and dear friends very difficult.

Great food, friendly staff, inviting atmosphere, excellent value! Indoor and outdoor seating with-excellent parking. Jamestown is a charming quaint village with antique stores .

My boyfriend and I decided to come here for dinner tonight. It was our first time here and we heard good reviews from a bunch of people, and I knew the staff member, Heidi. We ordered a bottle of meiomi, one of our favorite bottles of wine, with a fried green tomato appetizer. It was awesome! And then my boyfriend... More

We dined here for a group dinner based on the recommendation of a colleague and we were not disappointed. To start, they have an excellent bar menu. Several top shelf liquors, beers, and wines. The wine list isn't stellar, but is above average and you will find some reasonably priced choices. The food is as the title has written, classic... More

Southern Roots is the crown jewel of the the steadily livening up atmosphere and night life of Jamestown, and it serves this role superbly. Never a disappointment for lunch or dinner, you cannot go wrong with its southern inspired cooking and wonderful variety. Great for families, couples, and even a terrific singles bar.

No reservation allowed... You enter and you wait your turn. While waiting you can enjoy a drink. And watch the appealing dishes carried by the waiters/waitresses. You get hungrier. When you get a table you know you will enjoy your diner. Fresh food, slow cooking, great service, a very good selection of wine by the glass. Really a nice place... More

The parking is the first negative impression and the signage should be a bit better. Several people try to enter at the front but you come in at the rear. The patio area looks nice and they even had the fireplace going but none of the space heaters. Nobody was out there anyway. You come in the back door and... More

I love taking my Mom to new places and Southern Roots was a great find just down the road from our home in High Point. We'd actually been to the Jamestown restaurant before but not in awhile. And wow - we were totally blown away by the awesome hospitality, and delicious food. Spaghetti squash - order it now! I had... More
