Comfortable dining room, nice service, very good food

We had two meals here at the Hampton's at JH Adams Inn: a rehearsal dinner and a wedding reception dinner. The staircase going down to the lower level was spectacular. Went for afternoon tea and it appeared the waitress had a slight attitude issue from the the moment we arrived. Our spoons were dirty and we asked for clean ones. Even the sugar spoon was dirty. She tried to say they were water spots but these were the kind of rings from when a liquid sits and dries. She did... More

We were in town for HPU Family Weekend. Our son chose the restaurant because he wanted a fine dining experience. We didn't know what to expect. We did not expect to see a restaurant set up in the middle of a hotel lobby. It was a bit awkward at first, but you get used to it. We were seated in... More

So looking for something close to home for New Years. Thought we would check out Hamptons. Totally overpriced and nothing going on. There was a buffet offered with salad and potatoes, oysters and some kind of bean mixture, cornbread and you could order a steak off the grill. When we got our steak it moo'ed. It took quite a bit... Last night I invited 5 business friends to supper at my favorite place. Usually, I go to Hampton's alone, for a quick bite after a long market day, knowing that the pan fried oysters will do the trick! With six of us, we waited for a table and the chef did not disappoint! Tempted to have the incredible lamb chops,... More

I have never eaten a bad meal at this restaurant. We go for lunch fairly frequently for lunch and I have attended a few after hour business parties. There food is very good and fairly priced. The service can be spotty at times, but not to the point that I would not go back.

Hotwire brought us to JH Adams first, and we loved it enough that we stayed three nights. Excellent in every way: very clean, beautiful decorating, large rooms, incredible showers/bathtubs/whirlpools, fabulous restaurant on-site, excellent staff.

In celebrating our 21st anniversary and staying at the JH Adams Inn, The Hampton's was a great choice. With a reservation made the week before, we walked down to dinner. Nicely appointed, an upscale, intimate experience awaited us. The seafood was fresh and delicious (Tuna, Catfish Bites) as well as the chicken. Yes, it was more expensive than franchise establishments,... More

Dinner at Hampton's is a must if you are in the High Point area. The atmosphere is quaint and private. Crab cakes are probably the best I've ever eaten. Scallops were yummy too. Don't leave without eating the tomato bisque!
