This was my first trip here. On the positive side, the food was wonderful and imaginative and I will definitely return. It is well worth the price. The cheese board was delicious and the salmon and tuna were both some of the best we have had recently. The venue is a beautiful early 20th century building that has been painstakingly... More

Visited Hampton's 3 times over the years and always left with the same feeling: nice place, quality food perhaps, but always - terribly tasteless. Whenever I visited, I never bumped into any locals, on a busy night perhaps one or two tables were occupied by hotel guests. Service is above average, but the food .... What a waste of food... More

We had my son's rehearsal dinner at Hampton's in October 2013. The setting is beautiful and the food was excellent! Leahann worked with me to ensure our menu options had something for everyone, including one with special dietary restrictions. She helped me with all the details and when we unfortunately had a cool spell that prevented us from using the... More

I used to work in High Point back in the day when the Adams restaurant was the highly acclaimed Southern Roots. After a 4 year absence, I returned, staying in the Adams, and decided to try Hamptons for dinner with business colleagues. The chopped salad was excellent, nice presentation and flavor. The calamari appetizer was also excellent, featuring outstanding roasted... More

A lovely setting for great food. Sure wish that breakfast offerings were as inspired, good basics are "good enough".

We had breakfast twice (included with our hotel stay) and dinner one night for our group. The breakfast menu is limited but more than adequate, but it's worth it not just because it's complimentary, but because of the friendliness of the staff (special thanks to Tina, DeeDee and Nadia)! Dinner was exceptional: One of my favorite meals when dining in... More

My wife and I were so excited to share so time together at their much touted Afternoon Tea... We were greeted by the most horrid service ever. We had to constantly remind our server what was included from their one page menu, her excuse was that they had a tea party for 50 kids elsewhere in the restaurant. Once the... More

Hampton's at JH Adams Inn is a gem in downtown High Point. The restaurant is in a restored Italianate design mansion. The food is well prepared and they have a nice selection of dishs and price ranges. It is upper end but worth it for a special event .

Loved this restaurant. We went on a Thursday night and there was live music. Not many tables occupied so service was fanstastic. The steaks were perfectly done. Salad came wrapped in cucumber slices making it look like a bowl. Good selection of wines. Would highly recommend going there.

Four girlfriends had tea at Hampton's yesterday and found it to be even more wonderful than their usual great food. The Chicken salad crossiants, the scones, the broiche with avacado and crab....all delicous! We had 4 different types of tea in wonderful tea pots. Shellie was so helpful in making sure that everything was perfect! Looking forward to going back... More
