What a surprise to find this place, an elegant modern American bistro off the beaten path in Hickory. We stopped there on our way from Asheville to Greensboro and I am so glad we did. The Parma ham and fig jam pizza was really special, and the edamame succotash as a side to another entree was superb. Creative takes on... More

Very modern decor inside and on the outside patio. Very good food and service with eclectic menu. Good wine list at reasonable prices. Ample free self parking beside and behind the restaurant.

Wow! This is a beautiful, elegant restaurant in Hickory NC. We stopped on a lark as we were passing through. I'm so happy we did. The food is excellent, had Parma ham and fig jam pizza (to die for), straw sandwich, very delicious, and edamame succotash. I'm still thinks about that pizza.

My family went intending on getting dinner but there were so many wonderful choices for appetizers, we ordered many and shared. Great food, great cheese biscuits with jalopeno jam. We live in Raleigh and stopped on our way to Asheville for the Labor Day weekend. It is now on our list to visit the next time we are in the... More

I've eaten in this restaurant 3 times and each time it has been wonderful. The interior is gorgeous and the food is very good--fresh, inventive and varied. The cheddar biscuits which they serve with jalapeno jelly are yummy. I had the 2 lunch item choice this time which was a panini and wedge salad--plenty and delicious. Friends went for the... More

I am very pleasantly surprised by the quality of restaurants in Hickory. Youssef 242 proved to add to my delight. Charming surroundings, efficient and friendly staff, a very diverse selection of starters and main courses. I had the bison, which was pleasingly presented and very tasty to boot! I look forward to my next visit to Youssef 242.

We ate here in early August and found some things delightful, but other things left a little to be desired. First, the jalapeño pepper jelly served with the bread was outstanding. This was by far the best part of our meal! We both had the Wagyu burgers, and they were tasty...but no tastier than a similar burger at any decent... More

Visiting in Hickory and was looking for a nice resturant. My phone listed all the chains but the name really stood out to me. The patio was shaded and had a fireplace and also had water fountain. The inside was modern and very clean. I ordered the special which was a black bean chicken wrap which was very delicious, my... More

We recently enjoyed a lunch at Youssef, and everything was very tasty, but I was a little surprised to see the prices have jumped, especially for the burgers. The 242 burger, which is really delicious, is now $19. The server said this is because they switched to waygu beef. But the prices are just ridiculous, especially for Hickory, NC. For... More
