Maybe it is just a case of setting high expectations but we just did't think our evening at Josh's warranted the price. I don't mind paying more for better but it just seemed kind of average. We enjoy the family style sides but the main course just wasn't special. Josh's has a limited menu which usually means what they serve... More

Went there 3 weeks ago for the first time with 2 friends. Service was extremely friendly and spot-on. The waitress knew the menu and was very helpful in describing the entrees to assist us in the difficult decision, as all of the choices were appealing. We had the duck, short ribs and lamb t-bones and all sampled each. The entrees... More

My husband and I recently had Sunday brunch for the first time at Josh's. I had eaten there for dinner before and liked it very much. The brunch offerings were very good, we had our choice of an appetizer, entrée and dessert for a fixed price. I opted for fried green tomatoes, a lobster omelet served with a light hollandaise... My husband surprised me by making reservations for our anniversary. It was the perfect way to celebrate our special occasion! The duck is my favorite! My husband has had several items from the menu and has loved them all.

My wife will tell you I'm usually too critical about Resturant meals. I surprised her during our first dinner at Josh's when I informed her that my lamb T-bones was the best lamb dish I had ever had anywhere! Truly, Josh's was a wonderful dining experience. I had nothing to criticize! I couldn't complain about the staff. They were attentive,... More

A little pricey for us to dine at on a regular basis, but it is perfect for that special occasion. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. The atmosphere is intimate and beautiful.

We decided to try the Sunday brunch as the reviews for this restaurant we great. Unfortunately the food leaves little to be desired. I will start by saying that the appetizes were the only edible things we were served. We both ordered the eggs benedict. I will admit I am picky when it comes to my hollandaise so I made sure... More

I've heard my parents talk about this place since it opened and I finally got a chance to try it when I went home. AMAZING! My dad raved about the beef short ribs and they were fantastic...very flavorful and so tender. The mac and cheese and sage fried corn were great. Definitely on the list of restaurants to go to... We were back in town and included Josh's as one of our restaurant stops in Hickory. Better waiter - actually he was great. Better food (except my friend's grouper that tasted fishy). The menu is still varied and creative. Had a great crispy duck with blueberry gastrique. The spinach salad with feta included onions that seemed to be sauteed with... More
