Nice Spring lunch

This was a nice lunch on a nice Spring day. I enjoyed my St. Patty's melt and my wife found their fish and chips quite tasty. The service was timely and friendly. My only quibble is with the seasoned fries which I found too salty. We plan to return when we are back in the area this summer.

Nice selection of draft beers. Great food selection. I had the grilled salmon special and it was prepared to perfection. The chef obviously knew what he was doing with the special flavors and ingredients. My wife had the fish and chips and liked it very much. My son had a burger which was excellent as well. Server Josh was very... More

We opted to soak up the spring sunshine by eating at one of the Black Roses's outdoor, street-facing tables. The hamburgers were delicious, and their seasoned fries were even better. Our server was warm and friendly and didn't rush us, which gave us ample time to enjoy the beautiful North Carolina afternoon. We will definitely be back.

We got into town late evening and B&B suggested Black Rose. Good call. Good selection of beers from the many regional microbreweries, and the staff clearly sampled so they knew the various flavors. I had a burger and it was great - thick, rare, juicy, messy - and held up well to a good local IPA.

After purchasing a house here the month before, we arrived on Christmas Day to take possession of our new home. The movers were to arrive two days later so we ventured out from our hotel with a recommendation to go to the Black Rose. It was one of about 4 restaurants that happened to be open that day. It was... More

If you order a burger or a ruben you will love it, I had the "Special of the DAY" a philly cheese steak, Stale hard hogie bun, tough almost not there meat, raw onions and canned mushrooms. No sauce, and seasoned fries that had NO seasoning on them. Guess the old story is true, STAY away from the Special of... More

Food is always consistently good, service is great... The best for me are the Irish Breakfast and Bangers and Mash.. They serve the best hamburgers in town.

Cohen took care of us and he didn't miss a beat! Drinks were kept up with as were conversation with us even though he was busy while we were there. The food came out the way we ordered it and by the way the Rubens are out of this world!! Will definitely be back to this establishment!!!
