Pita Express is a truly fabulous restaurant! The food is always beyond delicious, and Lina and her husband are some of the nicest people you’ll ever encounter. The food is always fresh and delicious, with regular menu staples and a few daily/weekly specials that change. My favorites are the Mediterranean Platter for lunch or dinner and the Spanish Omelet for... More

I learned to love middle-east cuisine both in New York and in Israel. It was a pleasant surprise to have a restaurant serving this food in authentic and well-prepared versions right here in Hendersonville. Lina and Mohammed have created a delightful ambience in a store-front setting. Every time I have been there for lunch I have had to wait in... More

L-O-V-E Pita Express!! I have been a regular for years and am still so happy to have a place to eat a healthy, vegetarian meal. They have chicken, lamb, and beef, but for those of us who do not eat much meat, they also serve several vegetarian options, namely the Vegetarian Plate. The lemon and parsley rich tabouli is my... I always get this tomato dish you dip pita bread in. Its the arab version of fried tomatoes but... More

Have tried this place a few times over the years and want to like it. The owner is very personable and the ingredients are always fresh, but the food falls short. Is it tasty? Yes. Is it authentic, homemade Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food? No. Having lived in an area with a large selection of excellent Middle Eastern/Mediterranean restaurants (from hole-in-the-wall to... I love coming here to get the Lamb gyro and greek salad. The meal deal is $8.99 and you get a big gyro (lamb, chicken or veggie) and you get to choose between a greek salad or steak fries and you also get a drink (either homemade iced tea or a soda). The greek salad that comes as a side... More

The 'G' is silent. It's pronounced 'yro'. That being said, it was good. The fries are big thick things and are also tasty. One of our group had the Arabian Pizza and said it was very good. The place is not fancy but the owners are very nice and give you good service. They offer a lamb burger that we... More

Food is good. There is no atmosphere to speak of, the owner's wife takes your order at the window, then brings it to your table. He is doing the preparation in the kitchen. Expect to pay $9.00 for lunch.
