Enjoyable, eclectic breakfast

Good food and a nice outdoor seating area as well. The dishes can be a bit unusual which is always fun. Would go there again.

Before I wrote this I read the most current reviews and thought I was reviewing the wrong restaurant. We were waited on & paid with a credit card. We both had the chefs special and enjoyed it-a lobster quesadilla. I don't like mushrooms-they left them out of mine. My husband gets sick if he eats green peppers-they left them out... More

Egg breakfast was delicious. Best I had while in town. Coffee is good, too. Restaurant is clean. Service is fast. Heads up: Cash only.

We had visited the old downtown location in the past and decided to give the new location a try. Definitely were not disappointed. The food was fantastic. We tried the breakfast made to order with eggs, grits and a biscuit, and the omelet special. Both were great! Yes, they have changed from full service to counter ordering, but this is... More

We were sad when we found this place has closed but a local told us they moved. We had an awesome breakfast of a previous trip and wanted to eat there again. The new location is different and you have to order before you sit and bus your own table. I still enjoyed my meal but missed the personal service... More

While visiting Flat Rock we went in search of breakfast and stumbled across Mean Mr Mustard by chance looking for another place. Baked goods were delicious. Enjoyed the omelet special of the day. Service was also good including clearing our table as we enjoyed a 2nd cup of coffee. Probably showing my age but enjoyed the Beatles atmosphere as well.

We had a family breakfast here. There were so many local LEOs eating, that it could have been a police substation. We ordered biscuits and gravy, as well as the special breakfast. The biscuits were perfect...crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The cheese grits were outstanding, and the eggs were cooked to order. The coffee was excellent, too. This... More

Really liked the old location downtown. The move did not result in such fond memories. Sign on door says cash only.... Really? Coffee shop with counter service and limited menu. No table service. In fact, sign on dining tables states to clear your own table. Customers can hear every word kitchen staff says and it may not always be appropriate.....see... More

A super place for a tasty breakfast or lunch prepared by folks who love what they are doing. And the Beatles. Ask for a Yellow Submarine with a homemade muffin on the side.

Never had an experience like this anywhere... We walked in at 1:45, 15 minutes before closing. The lady at the register said to the sandwich maker, "We have four that just walked in." The guy in the back yelled to the front, "Don't people read the sign as to what time we close?" We said "fine" and turned around and... More
