My wife and I make a trip to Hendersonville a few times a year and we always go by McFarlans. This trip we got the white chocolate chunk cookies, blueberry and cream cookies and elephant ear. They were all so good. The best white chocolate chunk anywhere.

Excellent bakery with what seems like unlimited choices - cakes, muffins, donuts, pastries galore and Bear Claws. The wonderful aroma of fresh baked goods will entice you as you try to pass by. Very friendly service.

This is a great little bakery in the heart of downtown Hendersonville. The cinnamon buns are awesome and the cakes are beautiful, donuts are good. Snag a cup of coffee and a sweetie and head out to sit on a park bench on the sidewalk to enjoy the scenery and visit with the tourists. I did not give the bakery... More

You can WASTE your money at other bakery's such as grocery stores or super stores and save a couple of bucks and throw 60% of it away. OR you can go to McFarland's on main street and watch it dissapear, bought 2 cakes and a pie for the family Thanksgiving get together and all were GREAT!

I have had bread from here on several occasions. It is a downtown standard. The smells that erupt from here invite the most timid. There are many types of cookies cakes and special types even gluten free breads. Sandwiches are available on demand/made to order. I have something to look forward to.

I have tried many things at the McFarlan Bakery- all have been good. One of my favorites is the blueberry creme cookie- it is delicious! There are cookies, pastries, pies, and cakes that will suit anyone's fancy. Highly recommended to stop in when in downtown Hendersonville.

this is an old time bakery filled with sweets, what else? I have tried several things over the years and while they all look tasty, nothing ever lived up to the expectation. It's a Hendersonville landmark which is the only reason I gave it an average review, and not because the baked items are so great.

Bakery is average with sugary icings instead of butter cream. The pastries are too doughy for me but I was raised in NY/NJ where pastry is a generational business.

They make the absolute best eclairs and I have traveled the world. What a gem on a cute old town Main Street. You can smell the delicious aromas on the sidewalk! There is such an array of goodies that it is really hard to choose. Would love to return for Christmas desserts. Definitely recommend.

Just happened to walk by and saw this gem. Walked inside to a most wonderful aroma.,,,, Had to buy something to take home. I am not a big cookie fan, but a HUGE fan of pastries. Purchased the almond and apple strudel and of course a traditional Bear Claw (darling bears all over Main Street). Most wonderful pastries I have... More
