Out of the way but worth the search...

Have been a patron for years...best doggone burgers in town. Always a walk down memory lane with the massive amount of "picker stuff" on display there. The owner and staff are great folks with a joke or just "talkin". Old time place with a great selection of ice cream and burgers the old... read more

The owner and staff are great folks with a joke or just "talkin". Old time place with a great selection of ice cream and burgers the old fashioned way.

This little place was the only restaurant opened on New Years day in Hayesville. It was full of antiques and we enjoyed the burgers very much. While there, we met a family that lives in the same town as we do in Florida. What a small world! They had just purchased a cabin and invited us over to see their... More

From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family or old friends that they've known for years. This place makes you feel like home. The staff was great, the food was yummy... NEED I MENTION THE CHOCOLATE COOKIE DOUGH BROWNIE?! Just go! Shelia will definitely be there to greet you with a smile.

The restaurant is in what appears to be an old general store with quaint decor, but that's the end of the good part. The service was terrible and one of the worst I've ever had anywhere. They were slow, forgetful and very rude!!! The menu was very typical hamburgers, sandwiches, chili, french fries and onion rings. There was nothing special... More

My girls ( 8 and 11) loved it. They sat and played checkers while waiting for their meal. The waitress was sooo attentive and made sure we were well entertained. As soon as we sat down she was scooping popcorn out of the popcorn machine for us. The decorations take you back to the past and the food was very... More

Stopped there for ice cream on a hot summer afternoon. Parking is awkward and potentially dangerous. At first glance it appears to be a nostalgic little general store in a cute log cabin. However, hanging on the front porch there are two large religious/political signs that, frankly, I found offensive. I typically would not support a business that advertises this... More

My husband and I were on vacation from Scotland and loved this place. A gallery of amazing things, brilliant cookie sundae and a great chat with owner Lil. If we lived here this would be a regular stop.

As I walked into this log cabin style resturant with the large front porch.. I felt like I was stepping back into time.. at my grandparents place. As this was my great-grandparents old general store! I am thankful that Shelia . brought it back to life... Love that she has my family members photos there to remember previous owners..and was... More

Stumbled across this cute spot while visiting some friends in Hayesville. Cute decorations, old school nick-nacks and decorations that took me back to my childhood. Food was average but worth a quick stop.

The food and service were wonderful. We enjoyed the atmosphere very much. It was like an old general store. The owners took 6 years to restore the building. Its wonderful. Their ice cream is delicious.
