The atmosphere was a traditional steakhouse with comfortable booths and quiet dining room. It was so nice to be able to speak with my spouse during dinner. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was great. I had the duck and spouse had the steak. Both were great.

We found this little restaurant to be a nice upscale restaurant for such a small town. Chef Dennis is originally from New Orleans and he has perfected his menu. He gives classes to the locals. The bread they serve at the beginning of the meal that they call "toppers" is actually Yorkshire Pudding cooked and served with perfection. No small... More

We were pleasantly surprised by such an upscale restaurant in such a small mountain town. Chef Dennis is originally from New Orleans and has perfected his menu. He gives classes to the locals. The bread they call "toppers" is actually Yorkshire Pudding. Served at the beginning of your meal in splendid perfection, too, for anyone on this side of the... More

Who would have ever expected to find such a culinary treat in this tiny town! Sat at the small bar and was blessed with a terrific bartender/server. The oyster and shrimp shooters were fantastic and we kept ordering more. Was easy to find healthy, delicious small goodies that kept us on track with our goal of eating wisely before the... More

Everything on the menu is excellently prepared by Chef Dennis. If he can't get fresh it's not available, from the seafood to the meat dishes. A great wine selection is also available. Ambiance is also top notch. Totally unexpected in such a small town. We have become "regulars".

This excellent restaurant is perched in the small town of Hayesville in the western corner of North Carolina close to the Georgia Border. While Hayesville does not make the list of most visited places in the nation, The Copper Door is certainly worth the trip. The menu changes with the seasons and offers a varied selection of well prepared local... More

This restaurant is hidden in a little town and is definitely worth visiting! We started with the cheese plate and the shrimp kristine. For dinner I had the Crawfish tortelinni and my friend had the tuna. Dessert was a chocolate crepe filled with chocolate mousse. The food was amazing and the service was excellent.

We dined with 3 other couples. We were seated promptly at the reserved time but did have a bit of a wait before attention from our waiter. After the initial wait, service went smoothly and promptly. The menu was varied and the food was quite good. A beautiful restaurant in a small mountain town.

Was pleased to discover fine dining in Hayesville, NC. We were seated immediately when we arrived a few minutes before our reservation time. We started our meal with shrimp shooters, followed by a lettuce wedge for my spouse and I enjoyed a delicious cup of mushroom bisque - very good! We each order a rib eye steak which was done...
