I have been eating here since I was at ECU in 1998 and have only had the chicken skewer meal. That is all I need. Great local place to have on your list to frequent.

Being close to "uptown" Greenville and a short walk from ECU, this place likely draws in enough business--which is perhaps why they have not spent money on updating. It looks like the last update was 1972. It needs updating of the bathrooms, carpets, and walls. You wait in line and order at the counter, and they bring the food out... More

Wife and I went here on a Saturday for lunch. Our past experiences here have been good but on this visit we were very disappointed. We waited at the counter (where you place your order) for 8 minutes and no one came to take our order. One of the servers walked from the dining room to the kitchen and completely... More

My wife and I have loved the Marathon Steak and Cheese Sub for many years. It is the steak sandwich I judge all steak sandwiches by. It is on special every Wednesday. A small order of fries is sufficient for the two of us.

Have been going there for quite a few years and have not ever been disapointed. The food is good and freshly made. Prices are reasonable. Pastitsio and Moussaka are really good. Nothing fancy, just good.

Atmosphere is dated and a bit smelly - but the food is fabulous...Run daily specials that are great. Do not order but one order of fries. Lines are long at lunch - go a little early.

Have been dining here for a number of years and have never been disappointed. Is a Greek influenced restaurant with the usual offerings as well as sandwiches and subs. The chicken kebobs are the Thursday special and is very tasty and filling. The spanikopita and pastitsio is very good. We come down to this area three times a year and... More

Really nice Greek food at very reasonable prices. However, the place looks run down and the atmosphere is depressing. You order at the couter and the food is brought out when it is prpeared. You have to get your own drinks (like many chain reataurants). This place has the potential to be much moe upscale, but that would require some... More

Marathon is a greek restaurant located close to downtown Greenville. I have had the non-vegetarian sampler multiple times and have never been disappointed with the food. The only bad thing about this place is the building and decorations are so outdated and run down. The set up is strange, and when you walk through the front door for the first... More

I was greeted by dead plants and dirty carpets. My suggestion is to do some DEEP cleaning inside and out. However the food was great! I suggest putting the side salad in a bowl rather than on my dinner plate. Oh and one plant on the stump is sufficient.
