Valentine's Day

Loved the special Valentine's Day dinner. One vegetarian, one celiac, and two picky senior were all more than satisfied with the presentation, execution and flavor of the food. The food was pretty good but the tea did not have a lot of flavor, it tasted more like plain warm water with a hint of tea. There is no gluten free option even though Urban Spoon says they do. The atmosphere was cool though and it seemed like a good place to do work and study.

Loved the special Valentine's Day dinner. One vegetarian, one celiac, and two picky senior were all more than satisfied with the presentation, execution and flavor of the food. Service was very slow but also very attentive and accommodating. This is something easily remedied in the future by modifying their reservations. The readily admitted that all reservations for the event were... More

Tipsy Teapot is definitely different! A small restaurant in the middle of a used bookstore. I went there to try something different. What strikes me the most is that it seems to try too hard to be "that quirky, hip spot for college students and profs." The food was okay, but higher priced than other local places for similar items.... More

went with our ECU student and had a great dinner. They even had all you can eat salad bar that they freshened up even though we were the only ones using it. Heard its under new ownership and the night we went it was the first time the guy was making our food. It was great!. Books all over all... More

So nice to get to see some comedy in this city. I'm really shocked there is no comedy club in this city. But this place was fun. Nice little hipster coffee shop setting. The host was good and the acts were short and to the point. We will definitely return.

Tipsy has been central to an emerging alternative, local culture in Greenville. The food is good and priced well. Casual atmosphere, cosmopolitan vibe, live music.

So I have lived in Greenville for almost a year, and I have never been to this place before. I had been to the Indian place next door several times, but walked right by the Tipsy Teapot. I loved the atmosphere. The place is huge, and right downtown. The space isn't filled with efficiently placed tables, it's filled with shelves... More

Went here for lunch today. They had a sign that said "We're still open" so the review that said it was closing at the end of December is not accurate (that was right back then but things have changed). Tipsy Teapot has a wonderful menu of vegetarian and healthy choices which are sorely lacking in Greenville. I had a mushroom... More

I have really enjoyed Tipsy. It's a great place to sit and enjoy a hot pot of tea with friends during the afternoon. I've been here on several occasions for music in the evening, although the genre may not be my taste always, I appreciate the fact that they open their venue to local artists. They have great craft beers... More

The Tipsy is closing its doors at the end of December. Over the years it has been a unique gem in Greenville in a sea of unoriginal restaurant concepts. "A home away from home" - so true. Many good times were enjoyed here. Where else in town can you browse used books or read and have lunch (brunch when offered),... More
