Always Great to Be Back

I always enjoyed CPW'S from the day they opened until 2002 when we moved away. It is always wonderful to get back for their delicious food when we visit. This time I was with my son and two of our favorite people.I made a reservation on line- it was easy/ We all ordered off the Mardi Gras menu... read more

I've eaten here with a relative who loves the food, but I've only been able to find 2 dishes that appeal. Their music is very loud cajun. They specialize in Cajun food and Italian dishes. I liked their Lasagna and a chicken breast sandwich called the Olympia. Their favorite garnish is a dead crawdad on the plate which definitely does... More

I have never had a bad experience at this local eatery. I love the different menus they do and the great service we have always received. I have tried many different dishes and they are always delicious. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I feel like this should be a destination for anyone coming to... Had dinner here recently with some good friends on a week night between Christmas and New Years. Have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Our food was served promptly and came to us piping hot and our absolutely charming server Dani was attentive to all our needs and very helpful in making menu recommendations including... More

I've eaten here many times, the service is very good, the food taste really good. I've not had a bad meal yet. Of the 20 plus times I've eaten here only once did my meal take longer than it should to find its way to my table. Only wish they had more choices for the beer. I'll be back for... More

Being from Louisiana it's hard to find good Cajun food. I have to say that from the first time I walked in the blue doc made me feel right at home. The food is great no matter what you order. My wife and I often visit this restaurant together and with or children. Plenty of options for both parties. I... More

Thank you for your kind words! It is always a big thrill to get the nod of approval from Louisiana natives! Please join us in Janurary for our Countdown to Mardi Gras Food and Drink theme. We do a pretty good job! More

I had read reviews and picked CPW for a group of us to out to dinner for the 1 night we traveled into town. I didn't see the place the first time around. It was rainy and some trees obstructed the sign. Upon entry I was quite surprised. Not at all what I expected. It looked like a simple townie... More

Had dinner here on Labor Day. The place was nearly empty because of the holiday. The food was exceptional. The prices were reasonable this one is a keeper for us.

Truly, Yogi was right when he said, "Too crowded," yet people still go there and are pleased with the food and service even if the noise-level is a bit high.
