We found the Star Light several years ago by pure luck when we had no idea what might be available in the area. This visit was to refresh our memories and see if the food was still as good as we remembered. We were not disappointed!! This was one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. Rather... More

I had very high expectations of this place since it has such great reviews. The restaurant itself is very quaint and cute; I really liked the atmosphere. However, the food was very mediocre. From the appetizer (Cheese plate), to our entrees (Shrimp and Grits, and the Chef's Special) the food was very bland and unimpressive. At $100 a check for... More

Went for lunch and had the Shrimp stuffed Avocado salad, and it was very fresh, and very filling. The service was great! Lots of great choices - will definitely be back!

We eat lunch here often, and the service today was "off". We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken, but it was a very long time before we were served our drinks. The place was not overly crowded but the wait staff seemed very slow and was not attentive to our needs (i.e. refilling water and coke). Also... More

My wife and I were on campus and wanted to try something new (we haven’t been in Greenville that long). After parking in the big downtown lot, this place is right in front of you. The restaurant itself is large and open, not as narrow as many of the other restaurants downtown. They also have a small alley where you... More

Greenville NC, with the exception of a now-gone yuster bar (Cliff's) and some BBQ joints of a half century ago, has never been a dining destination. Now lots of chains, a steak house or two, standard Italian fare. My recent dinner at Plum Tree, which was described as an upscale eatery of good local reputation, was disappointing. So I was... More

I've eaten here twice and its amazing! Chef Toby creates wonderful dishes that will leave you full and happy. The drinks are good as well. They have a full selection of beers from local IPAs to Miller lite. But the cocktails created by the bar staff are impressive. Erin makes a great dark and stormy as well as everything else... More

This is my favorite restaurant in Greenville, NC. All their food is good. However, their chicken and waffles they serve for brunch on Sundays, is my very favorite. Their cocktails are amazing also. Great bartender.

I had the burger and it was the best burger i have had anywhere in a long time. Juicy and flavorful. The combinations of flavors were unique and worked very well together. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something unique for lunch.
