There is nothing like eastern North Carolina BBQ and Wilber's is the best in the region! My wife grew up in Goldsboro and I take her back as much as possible so that I can go to Wilber's.

There is nothing in this world wrong with Wilber's as far as atomosphere or helpful staff is concerned. There may not be anything wrong with the food judging by the amount of patrons that were there the day we visited. All I can say is being a NC BBQ explorer I found this BBQ to be the worst I've encountered... More

Eating here is a true experience of Eastern North Carolina BBQ. Pork is great. Sides are very good tea is good. Hush puppies are outstanding! Only issue is sometimes it is inconsistent. But worth eating here many times.

I have eaten here many more times than I can count. My wife loves the barbeque, but I love the barbeque chicken better. Either choice is without regret. The barbeque is of course Carolina style with vinegar and crushed red pepper. All barbeque is not the same. This is true Carolina style.

World famous Eastern NC barbecue lives up to the hype at Wilber's. An Eastern NC icon. Has perfected pork bbq. High calorie extravaganza.

Very causal restaurant with authentic eastern NC wood-cooked pork barbecue. Also, barbecue chicken and hush puppies are great. If you visit Virgil's Barbecue in NYC (Manhattan) you will find Wilber's listed on the placemat as one of the restaurants visited prior to opening Virgil's. Wilber's is among the few remaining restaurants in the area that still cook whole hogs over... More

Wilber's BBQ is always mentioned as among the best in the state. Properly cooked pork, good smoke, maybe more fat and gristle than I like, but overall really good Q. To my taste, the Q is not nearly as good as Grady's a bit south in Dudley, and a clear step behind Skylight in Ayden and B's in Greenville. Don't... More

We had the bbq sandwiches which were very good. Spicy sauce on the side. Yummy hushpuppies. Very casual, typical down home type bbq place. No complaints.

When you visit this restaurant, you can smell the wood fire magic happening behind it. This wonderful smell tells you what is in store for you. Every time I come back here, the smell tells me to follow my nose inside the restaurant. In my opinion- as a North Carolina BBQ fan, this is one of the best BBQ restaurants... More

When it comes to southern bar-b-que, Wilber's definitely ranks high. My favorite here is the barbque chicken. The sauce is so good. You will generally receive friendly service as well. This is a good place to have a family meal.
