Family run business with lots of character and characters! Old time milkshakes, malts and cones. It can get very busy and you will understand why. Our family review, the food is not as good as the ice cream.

In case you want to know what a real milkshake tastes like, Tony's is the place for your discovery of everything great in milkshakes. I can't brag enough about that, and of course the ice cream is good also.

As good as it can be. I like the strawberry milk shake the best. It is a bit high for the amount of ice cream you receive.

Great ice cream, shakes, sundaes and banana splits. The grill has hot dogs, hamburgers, fried bologna, and other sandwiches made to order.

Best tea in the world...also freshest tomatoes year round-so no matter what sandwich you order, it always tastes good.

On my very first day in Gastonia, my husband took me to Tony's and he said that has been there since he was a child and that I could not be here and don't visit it. I love it, the place is really nice, best milk shake ever!!! The blackberry one is simply delicious, taste of heaven. It is a... More

This place has been around since the late '40's, and is a total throw back to that time, including vinyl covered booths and a pink and green neon clock. You order food on one side and ice cream on the other. They make their own ice cream here, and have done so for years. The food, hot dog, hamburger, and... More

I was born in Gastonia but moved to Cleveland. We go back to Gastonia once a year and Tony's is a must. The best milk shakes ever! Try the hamburger with the works. Cant beat it!

I seriously love Tony's. My dad used to take us there when we were little kids many many years ago! My little sister and I always had to split a milkshake, grape was our favorite. When we became adults and went back one year, we ordered our own shakes... haha Now I know why dad made us share, it was... More

I don't mean just a drive across town - I'm talking about the 6 hour drive from Tennessee to have ice cream at this wonderful treasure!!
