Very good fish camp, one of our favorites, if you dont' get there early you will have to wait a bit, however they have lots of seating, and usually the wait goes quickly. they also have a take out window.

prices you can't beat.... shrimp is amazing.. salad bar is average.. servers are always night.. if you have a wait it normally isn't to bad.. the atmosphere you may have to overlook as it is a little odd and outdated.. one downside is it is small and the temp inside is not cool

My personal preference is the 5 item combo (with a re-order of one of the items). Try the S&P Green Shrimp, Oysters, Calabash Chicken, Flounder, and Scampi. Always enough for 2-3 people. Always tastes fresh, and looks good too.

This was the first time I have ever been to a "fish camp". I went with a group of about 12 people. We ordered our food at 4:45pm and 7 of us didn't get our food until one hour later at 5:45pm. The waitress kept telling us our food was coming. We had 3 people in our group that came... More

Three generations of my family ate here this evening, and only one person liked their food. We went here because we read about this restaurant in Our State Magazine. Not sure the editors were in the same restaurant we were! My salt and pepper catfish was tough and flavorless. My husband's shrimp were just warm, not hot. The calabash shrimp... More

The fried oyster were very small, way too much breading and overcooked. It was hard to even find the oyster for all the breading. The fried shrimp were flat and obviously were frozen. You know the kind you can buy in the grocery store that are flat and round. Yuk! They were way overcooked and greasy. The fried flounder was... More

This is a gaston county original. We eat here once every month or so because it is soooooo good. Fried everything, and fried well I might add! They give you hushpuppies and tartar sauce before your mountain of fish, shrimp and whatever else you want comes out. Every time we have been we have taken at least half home. Plus,... More

OK, I should not have ordered broiled flounder... I was trying to eat healthy... but the broiled dinner I had was not very good... it's a fish camp... I should have gone fried or not at all.
