This restaurant is located in the historical district of Gastonia, NC, a suburb of Charlotte. The head chef, Mr. Caudill has such delicious items on his menu. My husband and I were visiting the area from south Mississippi during the weekend and were treated to a meal there by some locals "in the know." This place is a well-kept secret... More

Rodi won't disappoint; food is great and fair pricing; service is tops; live music during the dinner hour is nice enhancement to the dining experience.Love the mussels!!!

After wanting to try this place for so long, we finally did. I am glad. Nice tapas list, we had a cheese plate and homemade chips w blue cheese for dipping. Menu with something for everyone. Sandwiches and salads a little pricier than other places, and salad dressing were not homemade (?), but food was all good enough that we... More

During Queens Feast we thought we try something different so we ended up here. When we left we were comfortably full instead of overstuffed and on the 30 minute drive home all we did was talk about great it was! Fast forward a few weeks and we decide to try it again....and it was just as fabulous! Friendly staff, interesting... More

Nice place for a good meal. They have a bar and a decent selection of wines and mixed beverages. A little pricey but we don't go every week. One of those little places for a quiet dinner for two. There is a back room which can be reserved for groups or family birthday gathering. Nice dessert menu too. I always... More

I would give this place a zero if I could. My husband and I had a sitter for 3 hours on Valentine's night. We got to the restaurant at 7:45 and was sat right away. Long story short, the waitress was nasty, and it took us an hour and a half to get our food. When I went to speak... More

After reading some of the comments and speculation about this place, I had to weigh in. The property, formerly Gastonia High School, then Ashley High School was acquired by CW Smith, and renovated as apartments. The space where Rodi is located was the school gym. The space between the two buildings was the football field. The restaurant was opened by... More

I've been here several times in the past. However it has been sometime since I have eaten here. They supposedly have a "new menu". Unfortunately it seems like the old menu was much better. I had the hummus and falafel appetizer. The hummus was okay, but the falafel should've been called cornbread instead. The falafel had some Hot tastes to... More

Mediocre at best is a shame for such a generally good restaurant. Took a business associate to dinner in August, knowing the atmosphere and food would impress. Pasta dish was bland. Crab cake resembled pancakes and pungent in smell. Salad ~ mediocre. Calamari and wine carried us through though. Overall a hit or miss kinda place these days.
