Very good fillet mignon and crab legs. Tried the jumbo shrimp and they were above average too. If you are hungry, and don't want to spend a lot, share the "Colossal Fried Amberjack "-jumbo shrimp, flounder, whitefish, scallops, deviled crab, all really fresh and tasty. The restaurant is located in the old Lineberger's Fish Camp, and was remodeled nicely.

We (my wife and I) have eaten here several times in the last few months with and without friends. This place is by far the best in Gaston county if not the region for fresh seafood. Huge crab legs cooked to perfection,no little fork needed as the meat slide right out, tender and juicy. Shrimp , clams, mussels , scallops... More

Take my mother here frequently as the food is great; you get a lot even for lunch, and the service is excellent.

Looking for a place to go out on a Thursday night and scoured the internet and found this gem! Great atmosphere, friendly service, and great seafood. It does not get a whole lot better in Gastonia! I had the Large Amberjack broiled plate and it was outstanding! The wine and drink list was nice and we had enough food to... More

The holiday weekend was upon us, and being Floridians, my husband and I were craving seafood. You know, real seafood, not the stuff that's coated, battered and drenched in oil then fried to an unknown concoction called seafood. So based on previous reviews, we decided to give Amber Jack's a try. We didn't get our hopes up as we traveled... More

I often travel on business to Gastonia which I consider a culinary desert. When I find a place like this I celebrate. It's on New Hope Rd 5.9 miles south of Exit 20 on I-85. I was attracted by their menu on the internet indicating that they offer broiled seafood, a rarity in this area. I had the flounder, a... More

Flavorless, overly battered, fried stuff-we were only able to eat about 3 small bites of the flounder.. Save time and money and pick up something from the frozen section of your local grocery store. The best part of the meal was the hush puppies and I don't even like hush puppies. Our waitress was great although stretched thin as she... More

While traveling I-85, two friends and I stopped in Gastonia for the night and chose Amberjack based on Tripadvisor reviews and its location near our hotel. We were not disappointed. We were impressed with the variety on the menu and the very reasonable prices. There truly was something for everyone. All 3 of us enjoyed our meal. I had broiled... More
