Everything was delicious and our server was delightfully energetic. I ordered the Opal Basil Shrimp. The sauce was wonderful. My husband had the Walnut Pesto Chicken. They were both cooked and seasoned to perfection. Ignore the fact that this place is attached to a gas station. Walking through the door, you find the cutest cafe that belongs no where near... More

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. We've heard such good things about it but we live 40 minutes away. Today my wife and I had to be in Franklin. We decided to stop in and have lunch not knowing what to really expect. It is a delightful atmosphere. The service is very good the menu... More

I say that because it is next to a gas station. If there is a wait a waiter offers a wine service outside. Inside it is much like a french cafe. Delicious bread is served on top of spicy oil and tomatoes. Four of us ordered crawfish on linguini, very tasty, everyone enjoyed and had enough to bring some home.... More

My cousin told me we were going to have dinner at a gas station. Don't be fooled by the exterior. The menu was enormous and the food was delicious. Excellent service and lovely ambience. This restaurant is a must!

A gourmet restaurant sharing a gas station building. Menu has sandwiches and salads along with a full menu. Downside: cash only (or check) or the ATM in the gas station.

Driving up after reading reviews, We were surprised it was extension of a fuel stop. But don't let that turn you off. Very nice fancy eating and nice decor. Enjoy!!

On tyhe right hand side of the Hot Spot Gas Station is the Caffe REL. What a great location to contrast great food with the sultry North Carolina Town of Franklin. The nuance of Real food and gourmet trained chefs makes this eating establishment simply the best. The staff is right on point and the food backs up the claims.... More

We went here with some friends who live in Franklin for the summer. The first restaurant we were going to was closed and this was right around the corner. My husband and I each had the snails and tails and Cesar salad and that was plenty. It was a bit rich. The bread served before dinner was do good our... More

OMG......go, go, go.....Cafe Rel is a must! The Double Stacked Cuban Press is so good, I didn't want the flavor to stop.....but it is a huge sandwich....Miami would be jealous.....I never found a better Cuban sandwich, then at Cafe Rel. I have also had the Cafe Patresse salad with Crawfish and Shrimp....it took me two days to finish it....lol. The... More

Yes, we were stunned that a restaurant of this quality is in the same building as a Hot Spot gas station. VERY friendly owner and waitstaff greeted and seated us. The menu is very creative yet not overwhelming. I had a soft shell crab sandwich (excellent) but my wife got the real ticket--tails and snails. Crawfish tails and snails with... More
