I have eaten at Cafe REL on several occasions, and have never been disappointed. The owner and Head Chef, Mr. Robert E. Long, is a formally trained chef who gained his certification at the Greenbriar Culinery School, Greenbriar, WV. All of his offerings are excellent, but my favorite is the John Gotti sandwich. Try it, you'll like it.

While the food is generally fine, service--and particular the attitude of the management--have left a bad taste in our mouths in the three times we have eaten at this establishment in our town.

Great food and reasonably priced. Need some more seats for the waiting line. The water bottles is a nice touch as is ordering wine. Always a favorite. Service us fast. Sandwiches to full course meals. Lamburger is a staple. Filet sandwich is awesome. Blue crab soup is nice too, then the 8" cakes!

I read about this restaurant on trip adviser. I really like this site for advise. Well it was right on about this little restaurant. It does not look like much from the outside but once inside there is quaint atmosphere. The staff were excellent and service was very, very good. We had lunch and got the lamb burger. It was... More

Just finished 3 days at the St. Regis in Atlanta. The food served here is every bit as good, in every way, including innovation and presentation. Of course, the price is about 1/3 to 1/4 that served in the more pretentious quarters. Most recommended. Siri, however, or was it us, got a little confused getting us there because the restaurant... Locals recommended we visit this unique restaurant, located aside and in conjunction (package store and restrooms) with a gas station. The decor is eclectic, warm and inviting. The menu leans toward Italian with serious French influences - generous portions; very nice wines by the glass. For beer you must go into the gas station store - through an interior common... More

We were a party of five and came early as the owner suggested. The service was excellent, the food outstanding. We brought our own wine and it was uncorked at no charge. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the shrimp and grits which was different than any other I'd had in the south and fabulous. We had one of each... More

Great little restaurant. Come early and be prepared to wait. The staff here obviously love their job. Portions are very large. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs. We left very full. Restaurant is small crowded and loud. Great desserts

Delicious food for real people. Thoughtful receipts for hungry people. If you want tredy tiny portions of coffee grounds sprinkled over green beans mounded over raw fish, go somewhere else. Been going there once a month or more for over five years and never had a bad meal or bad service. The money is in the food, not the restaurant.... More

This is not the typical fare of most restaurants. This is known to have a French, Cajun and whatever collection. Foods are freshly prepared. There's always something new for the special. It's medium priced, but not too bad. It's better without the kids, but you can bring them along, no problem. Great place for lunch or dinner!!!
