You might not consider this restaurant once you discover it is in a HOT SPOT gas station. However, once you step inside you see the place has been transformed into a French eatery with the best food you have ever had in your entire life!! Go there because it is an excellent value for great food in a charming setting!

When I told Hubs we were having date night at the Hot Spot, I got the one-eyebrow cocked at me, the are-you-serious look. I insisted. True to the other reviews, it was delightful. Yes, it is next to the Hot Spot, and yes, the bathrooms are IN the Hot Spot, as is the ATM (which you need to know, since... More

Couldn't find the place at first to finally realize it's attached to the corner has station. No restaurant like this at any gas station I've been in. Very classy elegant place. Food was really really good. My filet was cooked perfectly!!! And the deserts. Oh my gracious. Some of the cakes must be 12 inches tall. Highly recommend the place.... More

I really enjoy the food. It is well worth the wait. It is a little odd that you go to a gas station and buy your booze and get cash out of the ATM (they don't take credit cards) and walk around the side into the restaurant. As someone who's not from the area this is a little odd. This... More

I would dare to say this is the most unusual pairing that makes complete sense! Nothing intimidating about this place except what to choose on your next visit! The approach is simple and pure and would satisfy the most inquisitive foodie! The pot roast was better than in France and the filet sandwich was out of this world! Do not... More

Every time I go to Franklin, or even close by, I make sure I stop at Caffe Rel. As others have said, do not be fooled by the fact it's attached to a gas station. This is a real upscale restaurant. The food is French based, but there's more than just French cooking. In fact, my favorite lunch there is... More

I can't say enough about what a great experience we had. There was an hour wait, but we were served water and wine and kept informed. Once seated, the service was excellent-a well-oiled machine. The menu is impressive. We could have bathed in the oil/tomato dipping sauce, it was so tasty. And our entrees were incredibly delicious. We will return... More

Everything was delicious and our server was delightfully energetic. I ordered the Opal Basil Shrimp. The sauce was wonderful. My husband had the Walnut Pesto Chicken. They were both cooked and seasoned to perfection. Ignore the fact that this place is attached to a gas station. Walking through the door, you find the cutest cafe that belongs no where near... More

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. We've heard such good things about it but we live 40 minutes away. Today my wife and I had to be in Franklin. We decided to stop in and have lunch not knowing what to really expect. It is a delightful atmosphere. The service is very good the menu... More
