What an unexpected surprise! We were invited by friends who live in the area to meet them for lunch on our way home from Highlands. When we saw it was located in the same building as a gas station our anxiety levels skyrocketed. All concern was for naught. The maitre d', the server and her helpers were all great. The... More

Small Resturant situated in a gas station ( yet separated ) has the best food around. Truly a world class chef. Please be prepared to wait for a table due to their size but the experience is well worth the wait. Fine dining in a small town. Been coming here for many years and can't wait for it yearly.

First, you need to be aware of the limitations: NO RESERVATIONS & CASH ONLY Second, prepare yourselves for an adventure in dining. My girlfriend and I were attending a show at the Smoky Mountain Theatre in Franklin, NC. She suggested Caffe Rel. Attached to the backside of a gas station, unless you knew where to go, you could easily pass... More

This place is adjacent to a gas station. At first you think, hmmm, do I really want to go into a place that is adjacent a gas station and vacant gravel lot? Then you see all the cars parked around it and say, let me take a peak. Then you get inside and are told you'll need to wait for... More

The place has the atmosphere of a real French cafe in France. The food matches that perfectly. The salad and soups were great. The entrees were top notch and were extremely large. The service was the best I have had in the Mountians. The prices were right too. Go and enjoy a great meal and view everyone filling their cars... More

My wife and I ate here with two other couples on Thursday night. We had to wait 30 min. to be seated, but it was worth the wait. French cuisine was their specialty, and it was very good. My wife ate the Chicken Francisco and I had the Pot Roast. Two of our group ate the Pot Pie, one had... More

The food was great and reasonably priced. It didn't look like a lot of food, until you ate it and we're full. Very tasty.

You might not consider this restaurant once you discover it is in a HOT SPOT gas station. However, once you step inside you see the place has been transformed into a French eatery with the best food you have ever had in your entire life!! Go there because it is an excellent value for great food in a charming setting!

When I told Hubs we were having date night at the Hot Spot, I got the one-eyebrow cocked at me, the are-you-serious look. I insisted. True to the other reviews, it was delightful. Yes, it is next to the Hot Spot, and yes, the bathrooms are IN the Hot Spot, as is the ATM (which you need to know, since... More
