Great local watering hole

After a heavy dinner, my buddy and I found the atmosphere very welcoming. It's kind of akin to walking into a basement, the kind of place you feel like you need to be invited to and shown where it's at. We sat at the bar and noticed patron after patron that knew the bartender. Live music was... read more

This coffee house has good brew and a warm atmosphere. Plus it is local so the money spent stays in the area. There was a piano guy playing there whose name I forget, but he was good, a cross with Billy Joel and Elton John. This is a good local place to relax.

Great atmosphere. Friendly, personable owners. Vegatarian but oh so good. A good selection of beers. Where else can you find a library of reading material, tables where you can play games and socialize, and not feel rushed. If you haven't tried the Rathskeller you owe it to yourself to stop in.

I wanted to stop just south of the tail of the dragon. I got as far as Franklin from Naples FL. It was a long ride. From the road I saw the bar and knew it was the place to stop. Greeted right away, made some friends enjoyed some beers. Perfect atmosphere, I was a little late for music- maybe... More

If you're looking for a small town family friendly pub, this is it for you. Located in a basement level off Main Street, the old brick walls have been left as is. Typically you'll find it to be a NICE place to see neighbors and friends, listen to some great acoustical music, and have some yummy food and drink.

The cookies were wonderful, particularly the peanut butter ones! The prices were a little high, small portions especially the quiche. Cookies, however, were only $1 and we're worth every bite. May be great to see at night as it had a good ambience. The owner served us and we enjoyed his friendly service.

What a hole in a wall find, Rathskeller is a great place to go for your morning coffee, or an afternoon beer with friends. Great atmosphere, lots of new faces from people walking in off the Appalachian trail. Baked goods, great staff, will definitely be back by the end of the week! Can't forget the small venue for local bands... More

Make the effort to find this place if you are driving through and want a good beer, good food and friendly service. Selection of beer very good. Food was delicious - in fact it was so good (spinach calzone, yummy brownie) that I'm disappointed that I can't go back and over several visits try a number of different things. There... More
