In Franklin at lunchtime, and almost settled for a diner meal -- so glad we found this little out-of-the-way spot! Coffees and teas seem an odd mix with draft beers...but it works. Not sure if the two guys behind the bar were the owners, but they were welcoming, as were the couple of other patrons at the bar. I was... More

We stumbled into the Rathskeller looking for a cold beer. We found so much more! The building itself has a great vibe. The owners were super friendly and the homemade sandwiches fantastic! The locals use their own glasses for beer which something I have never seen before. Love the idea! This is great place to stop in and support!!!

Stopped in here at about 9pm while we we're staying in the Franklin area during Memorial Day weekend. They had great live music, people up and dancing, people playing cards and board games - just everyone having a good time! Tryed a local porter - was really nice. Got talking to the owners who were really friendly and gave us... More

You could tell this was a local favorite and it looks like it would be a super cool place for late night beers and music. However, we were only passing through, so we only had time for a coffee. The Americano was done well enough but not the best I've ever had. The menu looked like it was mostly sandwiches... More

Great place to stop and get a coffee or beer while you enjoy some music and people! I would definitely recommend a stop here if you are in Franklin.

I've enjoyed lunch at The Rathskellar many time in the last several months. Their offerings are vegetarian & yummy! They feature fresh baked (on the premises) breads, pretzels, cookies & cakes. I generally order either a garlic cheese bread (a meal in & of itself!) or what they call a Meatless Wonder (cheese& Morning Star veggie crumble, baked inside a... More

I come into town every few months and I always try to fit in a stop at the Rath. The new owners are wonderful and very hospitable, always greeting the regulars by name and making genuine conversation with those unfamiliar. I was SO impressed with the new food menu with vegetarian options. On my last visit I had a delicious... More

My husband and I enjoyed the little mid-afternoon break we took here during a day of exploring downtown Franklin. He got an Italian soda- ginger ale with vanilla syrup, and I got the Cherry Coke Special. They can make most any flavor combination for you. They also have a few desserts, and a very limited food menu. There's a bar... More

Stop in for a coffee and some shortbread or a blueberry scone. You will not be disappointed! I found this little gem while visiting Franklin with my husband. The owners are hands-on and very friendly, as is their dog, Maxxi.

This is a great place to grab a pint or get some food. It seems like a local hangout. Interesting atmosphere with some local color.
