We stopped here on our way to the beach from Raleigh after searching and reading reviews for restaurants along the way. We were not disappointed. What a find - the food was excellent and the server was attentive to the right degree. We will definitely return.

After a 20 minute wait with a half empty restaurant and the wait staff standing around the back talking, we were seated and had good service. Everyone was attentive and as soon as I put the last spoon full in my mouth, someone was trying to take my dirty plate. Skip the fried green tomatoes; too small and overpriced. Skip... More

This place is always a treat! The food and service are excellent. We moved from a large metropolitan area to a small town and it's been a challenge when it comes to eating out. This is an excellent place for a nice night out.

We had six adults. It was the first time for me. I had heard of the food, bar and menu. Food was good. I had the bone in pork chop. I recommend that but, I had a stroke in 2008 which affected my right side. My wife ask if the chef could cut my pork chop for me. When it... More

A surprise about 3 miles off I-40 about half way between Raleigh and Wilmington. Didn't expect much considering the area but a very quaint little place with unexpected good food, good menu and nice wine list. Very good and prompt service. Will be back.

Service was VERY slow, they were out of a few wine selections, but the food was excellent. Very surprised to find the quality and presentation in such a rural environment. If the service was better (more attentive, polite, not as slow to check on us), I could see this becoming more than what it currently is. I was told they... More

Here are the facts: I've traveled to nearly all 50 states and all the big cities in the US and in Canada and eaten ethnic and regional foods of all kinds along the way. I've eaten my way through all the major cities of Europe over and over, and been to the gastronomic capitals of the world. So not to... More

Enjoyed a wonderful meal here while visiting family in the area. Everything was amazing. Beautiful atmosphere and service was top notch. The shrimp pasta was especially enjoyed by our youngest daughter. Oldest daughter and I shared the fillet with the Mac n' cheese...to borrow from Rachel Ray, Yum-O!!!

this was not our first visit;based on previous ones, we went on Mother's Day expecting a special experience. Don't know what happened but service was terrible..tables being set up when we arrived(we were 2nd to arrive); food served in bits & pieces. Specials (of which there were 3) included 4 steaks (left from Friday/ Sat. nite?) only 4?? by time... More

We were passing through heading to Raleigh to the airport and got off of the freeway after we found this restaurant on trip advisor. What a find! Excellent pork chop and crab cakes. Great, friendly waiter and wait staff. What a hidden little gem off of the beaten path. About 10 minutes off of the highway and worth the drive.
