We have been here as a couple and with our daughter. The food, desserts and martinis are good. it is a nice restaurant; it's nicely decorated and nicer than it looks from the outside. They do consistently under cook their steaks in my opinion which is why they only get four stars, and it's really too bad because sending back... More

Early Saturday evening visit while everyone was at Mullet and Mum Fest. Have not been here in a year in or more....did not find anything new or seasonal. Wait staff is exceptional, but he made an assumption we were visitors "down here" even after we told him we were local. Food was prepared perfectly. Portions were single and no salad... More

We have visited the Crystal Coast from Ohio every year since 2006 and discovered Kathryns Bistro while in Emerald Isle in '08. We usually dine here twice during our week long stay but adding a child to our dynamic had prevented us from dining in in the last 4 yrs. This yr we decided to give it a try and... More

It is not cheap, not by any standards. However, the surf-and-turf was very, very good. The filet was almost fork tender, cooked perfectly and the scallops were also perfectly cooked. We have gone before and will go again, but the price precludes more than one visit per vacation for us. $133 for two meals, one appetizer, no salads, two drinks.... More

We enjoyed dinner and a martini here this last week! Very impressive place but hard to find. They need to update their location to help out of town travelers

There is nothing wrong here. There is nothing exceptional either. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The food had it's hit and misses. I had the ahi tuna appetizer, very good but way overpriced for 3 tiny slices of tuna. The shrimp and grits was okay, everything else was good. Drink prices are high, they are very... More

Friends and I met for dinner and our meals were excellent. It was pretty crowded for a Thursday night but we didn't have to wait. A large selection of Martini's and good menu selections. Most of us got the specials. Oysters, crab dip, filet, crab cakes, soft shell crab, shrimp and scallops and key lime pie. Not cheap, but worth... More

We enjoyed our dinner at Kathryn’s. We ordered mostly salads with grilled chicken. Even though the portions were very modest and on an expensive side, we enjoyed them because everything tasted great. The bread was out of this world! Also, the décor very nice and service (Rob was our waiter) was first-class.

We had a delicious steak and shrimp dinner here. Our server was very attentive to us, and the Emerald Isle Martini was great (although pricey). We started with the crab & cheese dip, which was delicious, although it could have had more crab in it for my money. We shared the steak and shrimp special. The steak was cooked perfectly... More

My wife and I decided to try here on our night out alone from the kids while on vacation. They do not accept reservations, so we headed out at around 7:15 on a Thursday. When we arrived they let us know there would be about 30 - 40 minute wait and we decided to stay. We grabbed two seats at... More
